🎵 Calling All Entertainers, Performers & Talented Individuals! 🎭🎤🎸

I'm reaching out to our amazing community with a heartfelt request.

Our residents absolutely LOVE live entertainment. Whether it's music, comedy, magic, storytelling, dancing, cultural performances, demonstrations, or another unique talent you have to share, it truly brightens their days in ways that are hard to describe.

We're looking to build a larger network of people who would be willing to come perform or share their talents at our senior living community. We are incredibly grateful for those who volunteer their time and gifts, but we also have a small entertainment budget available for select performances.

If you, someone you know, or a local group would be interested, we'd love to connect! This could be:
🎶 Solo musicians or bands
🎤 Singers
😂 Comedians
🪄 Magicians
💃 Dancers
🐦 Wildlife or educational presentations
🎨 Artists or crafters willing to demonstrate their skills
🐕 Therapy animals
📚 Storytellers, poets, or authors..or any other talent that would bring joy to our residents!

There is something truly special about seeing our residents smile, sing along, laugh, reminisce, and connect through live entertainment. You may think you're simply performing for an hour—but to them, you're creating memories they'll talk about for weeks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cook in our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. This role is vital in delivering exceptional food quality, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for hospitality. As a key player in our team, you will drive menu planning, manage inventory, supervise staff, and uphold the highest standards of food production and service.
Responsibilities
• Help with kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food service personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining cost control and profitability.
• Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
• Implement and maintain food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and industry best practices.
• Coordinate catering events, banquets, and fine dining services with precision and professionalism.
• Monitor kitchen performance metrics, including food quality, cleanliness, safety standards, and team productivity.
• Train staff on food handling techniques, dietary requirements, and hospitality best practices to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Oversee shift management to ensure smooth transitions between meal periods while maintaining high standards of service.
• Collaborate with management on budget planning, cost control measures, and menu pricing strategies.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in banquet catering, fine dining establishments, or restaurant management with a strong background in culinary arts.
• Supervising experience with a track record of managing teams effectively within a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of food production processes, food safety sanitizing procedures, and inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and catering coordination.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members across various roles.
• Familiarity with dietary department requirements and special dietary accommodations.
• Experience in managing kitchen operations within the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
