🎓 From the classroom to the fill plant!

This summer, OSU student Joe Wood traded textbooks for hands-on experience, joining our team in the fill plant and getting an inside look at the day-to-day operations behind the industrial gas industry.

Joe, a Business Operations major, shares what he learned during his summer with O.E. Meyer Co. and his experience participating in the Summer on the Sandusky Bay Internship Program through the Greater Sandusky Partnership.

We’re proud to provide opportunities for the next generation of professionals to gain real-world experience, learn from our employee-owners, and see firsthand what it takes to keep our operations moving.

🏈 Who’s got the best arm in Sandusky?

Last week, our Sandusky branch put their skills to the test with a little friendly football competition!

While the throws were flying, Cryogenic Technician Jason Green fired up the Blackstone and kept everyone fueled with some delicious smash burgers. 🍔

The competition came down to Matt Zahel and Jordan Kuns, but in the end, Jordan took home the win! 🏆💪

Six members of the OE Meyer Co. team recently attended the GAWDA Central Regional Meeting at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

The event brought together industry professionals to discuss the latest safety and regulatory updates, emerging technologies like AI, current market trends, and the challenges shaping the future of the industrial gas industry.

As a 100% employee-owned company, we believe investing in education and collaboration helps us provide better service, strengthen our expertise, and continue delivering the reliability our customers count on.

🌭 Congratulations to our own Matt Kane!

This past weekend, Bulk Gas Delivery Driver Matt Kane helped make history by participating in a Guinness World Records achievement during Put-in-Bay's Declaration 250 celebration.

Matt joined 273 other participants to create the Largest Display of Hot Dogs, featuring 274 uniquely topped hot dogs arranged in the shape of a giant Smirnoff Ice bottle spanning more than 1,000 square feet. After a detailed inspection by an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, the display was officially recognized as a new world record!

Congratulations, Matt, on being part of a one-of-a-kind piece of history! 👏🌎
