What started as a creative outlet during early motherhood has grown into a thriving handmade jewelry business right here in Ohio. Since 2022, Allison has been handcrafting polymer clay earrings that bring uniqueness, confidence, and personality to every outfit.

As a full-time mom of two and a solo business owner, Allison is proof that women truly can do it all. From setting up at local markets to shipping orders across the country, she’s built Sweet P Designs from the ground up while raising her babies right alongside it.

Success for Allison isn’t just numbers. it’s every happy customer, every fulfilled order, and every moment of purpose her business brings her.

Today, we had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Amy Acton, a physician, lifelong public servant, and candidate for Governor of Ohio who leads with compassion, resilience, and a true commitment to people over politics.

From her work in public health to organizations like The Columbus Foundation and Rapid 5, her focus has always been on improving the lives of Ohioans. Her plans prioritize ending medical debt, supporting small businesses, making childcare and healthcare more affordable, strengthening public education, and bringing people together across political divides.

What stood out most to us is her willingness to listen, collaborate, and ensure that voices, especially those of women and small business owners, are heard.

We encourage everyone to do their own research, but from our conversation, we believe Dr. Acton is a strong advocate for working families, small businesses, and a more unified Ohio.

Raven Warren has made it her life’s mission to help women understand their worth and use their voice. As co-pastor of Grace United Church and founder of Glory Carriers, she creates spaces where women feel seen, heard, and empowered.

Through her growing online ministry and adjacent initiative, Crown Adjustment, Raven leads daily encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful conversations around community and individual struggles in the pursuit of growth, building a community of nearly 700 women and counting.

Beyond ministry, Raven is a licensed cosmetologist with a decade of professional experience, including serving clients at Ulta Beauty. She brings that same attention to detail, empathy, and vision into how she leads and uplifts women.

This week we’re celebrating Kate’s Krestions, a woman-owned small business that truly proves what can happen when you go for it.

Kate started her business 4 years ago as a stay-at-home mom who saw a need for unique, customizable accessories that fit an active family lifestyle. Over the past 2 years, her business has truly bloomed, with locations popping up across Ohio.

She runs everything on her own while raising her kids, with products available at places like Bailey’s Farmers Market, Robinson Family Soaps and Gifts, Second Chic Boutique, and her home base in Milan.

From headbands and bracelets to lanyards and more, every piece is made with custom fabrics and so much heart.

Kate encourages other women and moms to go for their dreams because that leap just might change everything.

Shawna produces raw, unfiltered honey, beeswax, and offers nucs, packages, and pollination services that support both people and the planet.

Her bees travel as far as California to pollinate almond groves, then return to local Ohio farms like Bullock House and Burrma Farms, helping crops, ecosystems, and food systems thrive. This behind-the-scenes work plays a powerful role in environmental sustainability.
