Save the date, Wednesday September 2, 2026!

This is a reminder that the University of Utah Miners Hospital Clinic will once again be providing services locally in Price, Utah. This is a valuable opportunity for current and former miners to receive specialized medical evaluation and treatment close to home. The clinic provides evaluation and treatment for mining-related illnesses and injuries, including:

Joint issues
Back pain
Bone and muscle pain
Hearing difficulties
Breathing difficulties

Additional services may include audiology (hearing), physical therapy, and medications. Appointments are available at through the Southeast Utah Health Department, 149 E 100 S, Price, UT. Clinics are by appointment only.

If you have not yet taken advantage of this service and have health concerns that may be related to your mining career, I encourage you to consider scheduling an appointment. Having these services available locally makes it much easier to receive the care and support you may need.

Being a Mine Rescue Team member is an extra commitment beyond a miner's regular job. Team members volunteer their time to participate in ongoing training, equipment maintenance, physical fitness, and rescue simulations, all to be ready to protect their fellow miners if an emergency ever occurs.
