The June Grand Cross
There is an ancient curse that says, “May you live in interesting times.” It’s pretty clear that these last few years have been “interesting times”. There are planets that have been creating challenges on the global scene, and in personal lives. June will reflect these planets in dramatic ways.
June begins with a unique pattern called a Grand Cross that occurs when four planets are making challenging connections to each other. These Squares can create friction, tension, and attention to areas that need to change. Squares push us to make necessary changes on conscious and unconscious levels. The more awareness you bring to squares, the more you can create positive changes. You can accomplish much, but it will come through hard work, the easy path is not your way now.
This Grand Cross in mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Mutable Crosses can make it difficult to maintain focus, to deal with reality, and find clarity in all areas of communication. The Mutable signs may feel this pattern more in their inner life and outer experiences than other signs. But the Mutable people have the flexibility that makes it easier to change and accept new situations.
People born on the 1st through the 5th of May, September, December, and March are the ones directly hit by this Grand Cross. Everyone, especially these mutable people, need to invigorate their health, take on your responsibilities that are yours alone, not those of others. It’s good to reach for your dream, but get reality checks. Do delve into spiritual practices, but don’t be too trusting and buy the Brooklyn Bridge.
The planets creating the Grand Cross are Saturn (duty, delays, and hard work) square Jupiter (overindulgence, over optimism, reckless expansion). Both Saturn and Jupiter square Neptune (illusions, deceit, self-deceptions). Be alert and aware, where will hard work benefit you the most, where can you expand your knowledge to build a positive foundation, where can you use discipline to enhance your creativity?
For the first two weeks of June, the sun (vitality, self-confidence) and Venus (love, beauty, and pleasure) fill out one of the four corners of the Grand Cross. Necessary choices may overwhelm you, causing you to maybe feel a lack of confidence, and you may have to put extra efforts into relationships.
When the Sun and Venus move out of the Grand Square, Mercury (all forms of communication,) comes to fill the fourth corner, which can bring mental confusion and frustration in communication. So, slow down, and use careful considerations before acting on ideas, or the many areas of communication.
Expect some delays and disappointments as you move through June. To use these transits wisely, muster up all your patience and use good common sense.
During these challenging times of uncertainty, default to stable, practical Saturn. Deal with what you know to be true, focus on practical measures, take your time, and look reality straight in the face. You are building strong mental, emotional, and spiritual muscles which will serve you as you grow.
