Did you know that rondel glass dates back to medieval Europe, where artisans spun molten glass into beautiful circular panes. The signature “bullseye” center is a mark of true handcrafted glass and is not a flaw!

Today, these timeless pieces still catch the light with the same charm they did centuries ago!! We love incorporating authentic rondels into our stained glass designs, giving a piece of history a beautiful new life.

One of our most rewarding and challenging projects of 2025 was just delivered and installed by our crew to a residential home in San Francisco.
This oblong, curved dome skylight consists of 12 individual stained glass panels. A total of 1472 pieces of glass were cut and assembled by hand!
The designing and fabrication took roughly 500 hours. This also includes engineering/manufacturing the steel frame, creating custom forms, cleaning the glass as well as countless pther important steps.
Our team at Hyland Studio take great pride in creating one of a kind bespoke centerpieces that stand the test of time. Our quality and craftsmanship are at the foundation of all we do.

We recently had the honor of restoring one of the iconic daisy windows from ! This window was easily one of the most difficult rebuilds we’ve had yet with all those little pieces, but the team pulled it off. Luckily we were able to document what a rebuild typically looks like for us so you can get a better idea of what it looks like start to finish. Starting with rubbings for a layout and build pattern, taking it all apart, cleaning the glass, building, to the install. (We did miss photos of the puttying step….whoops)
