Today (Tuesday) is Veteran’s Day, and Visual Terrain will be closed for the holiday, to honor all of those who have served, including many from our own families. It’s the perfect day to salute the USS Iowa, where we have worked on several projects. If you’ve never been on a real, functioning battleship, wow! You will gain a whole new appreciation for the working conditions and difficulties that faced the brave men and women who served. We enjoy working with our clients at the Pacific Battleship Center at the Port of Los Angeles, in San Pedro on the exhibit: US Navy, Stewards of the Sea.

Visual Terrain’s office will be closed this Monday October 13, as we commemorate the history and cultures of all Indigenous Peoples. Our offices will re-open on Tuesday October 14.

Visual Terrain honors and celebrates the upcoming Indigenous Peoples’ Day this year by remembering our project with the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant Oklahoma. Principle Lighting Designer Mike Mahlum personally programmed the great buffalo statue during installation on site.
