Soil First. Everything Else Follows.

One of the most important lessons from soil science is simple: healthy plants come from healthy soil ecosystems.
Living soil systems are built around biology — fungi, bacteria, protozoa, earthworms, organic matter, and natural nutrient cycling. Instead of feeding plants directly with synthetic inputs, growers feed the soil food web, which in turn supports the plant.

When done correctly, living soil cultivation can lead to:
• More resilient plants • Improved terpene expression • Stronger nutrient cycling • Reduced need for external inputs • Long-term soil health rather than soil depletion

But here’s the challenge: not every product used in cultivation supports living soil systems.

Ten years. One clear mission. A decade of raising the standard. 🌱

In 2016, Envirocann was founded as a direct response to a hard truth: products labeled “organic” were still failing for dangerous pesticides. We knew the industry and consumers deserved better, so we built something different.

That same year, we became an approved inspection agency for the Mendocino 9.31 Program, helping ensure environmental standards were truly being met by local farmers who cared deeply about their land and their craft.

In 2021, we reached a major milestone—becoming one of the first OCal-accredited certification companies in the United States, with a dedicated focus on cannabis. A moment that validated years of groundwork, integrity, and persistence.

And here we are in 2026.

Envirocann services are now available in every legal cannabis market in the U.S., with 50+ clients certified annually and certified partners in the EU. There is more comparable-to-organic, clean, responsibly produced cannabis in the legal market today than ever before and we’re proud to have played a role in making that possible.
