Had an interesting refrigerator repair job today. The owners were puzzled by their fridge making an excessive amount of ice, which eventually filled up the freezer. Turns out, the arm of the ice maker had fallen off, causing the fridge to keep producing ice non-stop.

Previous attempts by the owner to reattach the arm failed because of a tricky design detail: there's a small crevice inside the ice maker that looks like where the arm should go, but it actually goes directly under it into a special slot for the arm.
