Especially in these times where some or all of your employees are working remotely, never miss a chance to reinforce the culture you have worked so hard to create. We recently conducted an internal company training and inter-department process improvement sessions, and took the opportunity to have a little fun and reinforce our culture. We opened the morning with a “Fun Facts” game to see how well everyone knows their co-workers. It was pretty enlightening and generated lots of laughs! Here’s a few of the fun facts staff submitted:
I had a baby alligator as a pet when I was a child
The Doobie Brothers’ Manager lived next door to me growing up and they practiced there a lot.
I was once detained at gunpoint by a Guatemalan soldier (as a teenager!)
I collect Flintstone memorabilia. What will you find on top of my refrigerator: Flintstone Cookie Jar
I had a brief gig to sing the National Anthem at the beginning of the dolphin shows at Sea World. Then they used a recording of one of my performances before the Orca shows.
I sang in a band called Fast Buck when I was 19 and 20.
I took an actual bowling course in college (graded, credited) and received “most improved” at the end of the semester.(Editors note: seriously, what parent would be happy about paying that tuition?)
My favorite Shakespeare work is King Lear.
I like to eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as an appetizer… whenever I get the craving for it.
Many years ago, I won a karaoke contest singing “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.
