If you like a crispy w**e to take you from summer to fall, then we have the chardonnay for you!

Awarded 95 points from two years in a row, our Bien Nacido, Block UU Chardonnay is, as Billy Norris from Vinous puts it, "bright, energetic" and "alive in the glass."

We currently have the 2023 available in the tasting room and online to purchase, but keep your eyes peeled for the 2024 as well. This w**e will drink well through 2036, so if we can be so bold, getting a few bottles of both vintages would be a fun way to see how it develops over the next decade.

Do you know what's super fun? Our w**ery tours!

On select weekend days, you and up to five of your pals can enjoy a guided tour through our production area and barrel room, concluding near the vineyard with a curated tasting of both Foxen and Foxen 7200 w**es.

Plus, a little tip from me to you: booking on a Friday during harvest means getting to see the w**emaking team in action! Plus, the barrel room smells extra delicious and you may even get a chance to get an early taste of the 2026 vintage!

A few of our recent nature sightings out on Foxen Canyon Road:
1. Anna's Hummingbird
2. American Kestrel
3. Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk
4. Tarantula (our count so far is 15+

What else we've encountered but don't have pictured:
• Kaitlin saw four bobcats on her way to Foxen last week, including a mama and two babies!
• Billy and Bingo saw a mountain lion on their way in two weeks ago; they said it was enormous!
• Turkeys out in the field next to the w**ery
• Lots of coyote howls while we were picking last Monday
• Billy saw a barn owl make an active kill in his headlights last week!

We can almost guarantee you'll see some kind of critter when you visit us, so bring your binoculars and/or your cameras and, as always, drive slowly and respect our wildlife.

If you've encountered FOXEN in the wild, it was more than likely a bottle of our Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir. This w**e is a gateway of sorts to not only our portfolio but also the Santa Maria Valley.

Drawing from three of the appellation’s most storied vineyards, it captures what makes this little corner of the Central Coast so special.

We were thrilled to see good folks over at Vinous agree:

"A blend of Bien Nacido, Riverbend, and Solomon Hills, the 2024 Pinot Noir (Santa Maria Valley) massively overdelivers. Leather, bitter cherry, orange peel and cedar open into a spicy, richly flavorful yet elegantly structure w**e with a fine tannin structure and a supple finish. All of the fruit is off the vines (and none too soon, considering the rain we’re expecting this weekend). Now all that’s left to do is see it safely into barrel to age and we can call the 2026 vintage a wrap!

Get someone who looks at you the way our Assistant W**emaker, Manuel, looks at a press pan full of Sangiovese.

2026 Volpino is officially in the barrel for the next several months, then will bottle-age for a bit before release.

This is always a really fun w**e and one that folks often sleep on (we just have sooooooo many yummy w**es, how is one to choose?!) The ongoing spiel we give about the Volpino in the tasting room is "This is your pizza/pasta w**e." The acidity of the w**e balances well with tomato-based dishes.
