The Function of Time is the degradation of matter. Matter is energy being moved slow enough to be seen, and exists is inside spirit. therefore, God exists beyond space time, and everything within spacetime is immediately part of the eternal God. as soon as anything happens, it is already part of the God from the beginning integrated.
The universe is evolving towards a state of increasing complexity and unity.
Humans are the culmination of the evolutionary process and play a unique role in God's plan for the universe.
If we are going to perfect the timeline we should also expect butterfly effects to the timeline which could drastically change the course of history or even evolution, or all the choices that were necessary to lead to Christ's coming. Christ is the Omega Point of evolution, the goal towards which all creation is moving. The Holy Spirit is the energy that drives evolution forward.
Time travel could be achieved, and it's most likely to be achieved by intelligent healthy people that come from prolific families, heightening the probability that we will have some play in time travel.
We are called to collaborate with God in the work of creation and evolution.
We should be aware of the presence of God in all of creation. We should be committed to justice and peace in the world. We should work to build a more united and fraternal world. We should be open to the new and the unexpected. We should be willing to risk and sacrifice ourselves for the sake of the common good.
If we were to time travel, and to be able to affect history, and we know that religious deaths and wars are already common places, then religious prophets are ideal candidates for our visitation.

Imagine a king who has many children. The king's children are all equal to each other. They all share in the king's inheritance. However, the king also has many servants who work for him. The servants are not equal to the king's children. They do not share in the king's inheritance. Being a servant to lords is a very different thing. Servants are subject to the authority of their lords and must obey their commands. Co-heirs, on the other hand, are equal and have the same authority.
This movement appealed to the poor and oppressed. The enslaved and the indebted were drawn to the message of a debt jubilee and a better future. Let's take this back a step, maybe the problem here is everybody and everything all together: Maybe the real christians were murdered in the crusades and the beliefs your parents beat into you were beat into their ancestors by soldiers not saints.

Consider what we know about what Christians taught before the Nicene Creed:

They believe that God is loving and merciful. That he would not send his Son to be murdered for our sins.
They believe that the idea of Jesus dying on the cross to atone for our sins is violent and bloodthirsty.
They believe that the idea of Jesus dying on the cross to atone for our sins is not necessary. Because we can all be saved directly by God.

These were the beliefs held by many christians such as the Ebionites, The Marcionites, The Valentinians, The Bogomils etc, Millions of them were murdered and literally eaten and their blood drank by crusaders and their bones made into cathedrals such as the Sedlec Ossuary which you can visit as tourists today.

We all share three goals: meaning, happiness, and success.
