We’re proud to recognize Cory Marzocco, Las Vegas Service Technician, with the Pushing the Limit Award. Cory has been instrumental in the North Las Vegas branch’s transition from one branch manager to another. While the branch was without formal leadership during the first half of the year, Cory stepped up and took on administrative tasks typically assigned to the branch manager role.

Throughout the transition, Cory continued to ask questions, build his skill set, and apply what he learned to help keep the branch moving forward. He remained positive and upbeat through each challenge, taking each day as it came. Cory has demonstrated a strong desire for professional growth, a willingness to take direction, and the ability to adapt to whatever is thrown his way.

We look forward to seeing him take on increased responsibilities as time goes on. Thank you for your hard work, Cory!

Before Delta Liquid Energy became the company it is today, it started as a small family butane business in Atascadero.

In a firsthand reflection, Frank Platz shares memories from the earliest days of San Luis Butane, from resale tanks in the front yard and early delivery trucks to the family members who helped keep the business moving through some very different times.

His story offers a rare look at how the company began, how it grew, and how those early years eventually helped shape Delta Liquid Energy.

As we celebrate 90 years, take a look back at where it all started through Frank’s own memories.

Before Delta Liquid Energy became the company customers know today, it began as a small family business in Atascadero during the Great Depression.

Happy !🌾

Today we’re recognizing the farmers, ranchers, growers, and agricultural families whose hard work helps keep our communities fed and our local economies moving.

From early mornings and long days to changing weather, rising costs, and the constant demands of the season, agriculture takes dedication, resilience, and a whole lot of know-how.

At Delta Liquid Energy, we’re proud to support agricultural customers with reliable propane for irrigation engines, crop drying, greenhouse heating, generators, forklifts, water heating, and other essential farm operations.

To the farmers and agricultural families we serve across California and Nevada, thank you for everything you do.

From the fair to the table, and back into our community.

Delta Liquid Energy recently delivered one of the pigs we purchased at the California Mid-State Fair Junior Livestock Auction, now fully processed locally by Sinton & Sons, to in Atascadero.

This donation will be used specifically in ECHO’s Workforce Development Kitchen Program, where participants gain hands-on experience and build practical skills for future employment.

While dropping off the donation, we had the opportunity to talk with Workforce Development Kitchen Manager Aaron Hall and learn more about the program. Participants can spend up to four months developing kitchen and workplace skills, including food handling, stocking, shipping and receiving, knife skills, prep work, ingredient preparation, and cooking. They also have opportunities to help develop recipes and create a dish of their own.

Before working in the kitchen, participants earn their food handler certification. After completing the broader workforce development program, they can also receive letters of recommendation to help support their next steps into employment.

We also learned about an exciting expansion at ECHO’s Atascadero campus. Their new family resource center includes private family rooms adding 30 additional beds, along with dedicated spaces for children, workforce training, counseling, and family support.

We’re proud that this donation can help support workforce development while also learning more about the many ways ECHO continues to grow its services for local individuals and families.

Thank you to Aaron and the ECHO team for showing us more about the program and for the work you continue to do in our community.

Behind every smooth-running system is an IT team solving problems most people never even see. 💻

Happy National Techies Day to our IT Manager Jeff Phillips and IT Assistant Brandon Pettis, who help keep Delta Liquid Energy connected, secure, and running behind the scenes.

From troubleshooting everyday tech issues and supporting employees across locations to keeping important systems working, their work helps our teams serve customers more efficiently every day.

And internally, they’re always there with the classic reminders:
“Did you restart your computer?”
“Did you clear your cache?” 😂

🧯It's National Fire Prevention Month, and fire prevention starts with everyday awareness. That includes knowing how to safely use and maintain the energy systems around your home or business.

For propane customers, a few simple habits can make a big difference:

• Keep the area around your propane tank clear of dry brush, debris, and combustible materials.
• Make sure driveways, gates, and tank access areas stay clear for safe deliveries and service.
• Know what propane smells like and what to do if you suspect a leak.
• Never attempt to repair or modify propane equipment yourself.
• Have propane appliances and equipment inspected and maintained by qualified professionals.

At Delta Liquid Energy, safety is always a priority. Our team receives ongoing training, and we encourage customers to stay familiar with their propane system and the safety information available to them.

IT Assistant Brandon Pettis is celebrating another ultimate frisbee summer league victory, marking his fourth championship win in a row. His team Shadow Realm entered the playoffs in last place and had to win their first game just to make it to the semifinals, which they pulled off by a narrow margin.

From there, the team kept the momentum going. They won an exciting semifinal game by universe point, 20-19, before heading to the finals, where they came out on top with a 20-15 win. Brandon said he attributes the strong finals performance to the energy and excitement from winning such a close semifinal match.

Over the course of summer league, Brandon’s watch reported that he ran 4-5 miles each night between two 70-minute games, with much of that distance coming from sprinting and only short rests on the sideline. Offensively, he primarily handled throwing the disc for big gains, throwing assists, and scoring when needed. Defensively, he guarded downfield cutters, helping take away deep throws and big gains.

Congratulations to Brandon on another summer league championship!
