Eternium's vision is to create a self fueling/charging electric fuel cell passenger jet to act as an on demand/ride share transcontinental or regional transport aircraft The design has evolved into one of the most efficient collections of the today's best technologies from electric motor technology that requires less of the batteries and fuel cells, to the aerofoil and blended wing body that produ
ces more lift and less drag, a highly efficient wide chord fan section, to the safest and highest efficiency battery, fuel cell and thin film solar cell technology available with considerations for upgrades as the technology matures. Also several safety considerations to efficiently address anti-icing, anti-collision, pilot awareness, and redundant battery and fuel cell systems have been incorporated into the design. The design is also sleek and attractive, and plans have been made to incorporate an app based user interface that will monitor and report the status of the aircraft to check the status of charge/fuel/range and security status. With this we hope the owner experience is a seamless integration of free travel into the passenger and crews lives. Perhaps aircraft like this will alter the way we fly making air travel less of a community affair and more of a personal and free method of moving about the country.
