🦠 PERIO 🦠

In recent years the oral bacteria F. nucleatum has been linked to conditions ranging from colorectal cancer to premature delivery of babies.
In hygiene, we need be on high alert when our patients have sites of bleeding. Blood coming out means bacteria can also get in (via ulcerated junctional epithelium). Oral care is PART of overall health. You cannot be healthy unless we are periodontally healthy.

Can’t let hygiene month go by without a HUGE shoutout to 💛
We work together every Monday/Tuesday at our little small town office.

When I’m training, everyone always asks “do you still work clinically?” and they answer is YES! I’ll never teach you to ‘do as I say, not as I do.’ If I teach your office something it’s because IT WORKS and we have tried and tested it 🤗
