If I’m being completely honest, I wish someone had sat me down before I became a salon owner and told me that talent and passion weren't going to be enough.

I’ve had those moments where I felt completely unprepared for the realities of ownership... the pricing decisions, the team disconnects, and the weight of carrying it all alone. I’ve learned the hard way that "great behind the chair" doesn't automatically mean "ready for the office."

But those mistakes are exactly what taught me the power of systems and the necessity of clarity.

Yesterday’s Monday Mastermind was a perfect example of why systems matter more than "hustle."

One owner came in feeling that heavy weight... the "Owner’s Trap" where you feel like if you aren't personally touching every task, the quality will slip. She was exhausted and heading straight for burnout.

The Breakthrough: We stripped back the noise and identified one specific system she could hand over to her team this week.

The Result: A visible sense of relief. She realized her team was actually waiting for the opportunity to step up... she just hadn't built the structure to let them.
