Walnut Grove Excavating

Walnut Grove Excavating Customer focused, Integrity Driven Walnut Grove Excavating, LLC owned and operated by Travis Gemmell. My number one goal will be your complete satisfaction.

I am focused on all sizes of residential projects and small commercial projects. Walnut Grove Excavating, LLC is the culmination of a life long dream of owning my own business. It all began on the ground floor of a major corporation and through hard work and determination I was able to climb my way up the corporate ladder. However the higher I climbed the less I was able to do what I really love,

which is work with customers each and every day! . With the loving support of my family we bought an old farmhouse in the Lowell/Saranac area with the intentions of turning it into a hobby farm and making it our forever home. As it came time to clear a place for the barn, we struggled to find an excavating company that was willing to take on smaller projects or to fit us into their schedule. I knew from numerous conversations, I was not alone, that there are many other people in my position that are having issues finding someone that can and will do the "smaller jobs" This is where my dream and business plan came to fruition. With my past experience of working on excavating projects for neighbors, friends and my family, I decided to start Walnut Grove Excavating in order to help people get their excavating projects completed on time as defined.

Another drainage project completed! 💧

We installed new underdrains around this home to help keep the yard dry and eliminate the water backups.

No more soggy yard, standing water, or drainage headaches! Another happy homeowner and another problem solved by the Walnut Grove Excavating crew.

❤️ A BIG Thank You to Our Customers ❤️
We just want to take a moment to give a heartfelt shout-out to all of our amazing customers.
Because of your continued support of our small business, we’re able to do something that means a lot to us — give back to the communities that support us.
One of the things we cherish most about owning a small business is having the opportunity to help where we can. Over the years, we’ve been blessed to support so many local causes and organizations, including:

🏈 Local sports teams
🎪 Kids’ events
🥫 Food banks
❤️ Kids’ and women’s shelters
🐄 4-H fairs
🎉 Local community events
…and so many other things that help make our communities stronger.

For a small business, I’m honestly really proud of how much we’ve been able to give back. It wouldn’t be possible without you — our customers.

Every septic system we install, every service call we make, and every customer who chooses to support our business helps us continue to support the people and organizations in our local communities.

And I have to give a very special shout-out to my wife, Stacy. ❤️ She handles all of our community giving and does an absolutely amazing job keeping up with all of the requests, events, donations, and opportunities to help.
We may be a small business, but we believe small businesses can make a big difference.
So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for trusting us, supporting us, recommending us, and allowing us to give back.
We truly couldn’t do it without you.
Thank you for supporting our business — and in turn, helping us support our community.

Another septic replacement completed — and another real estate transaction made easier!
We installed another septic system on Friday, and this project is a great example of why communication and experience matter when dealing with time-of-sale septic work.
We’re incredibly thankful for the many realtors who trust us to take care of their clients. Real estate transactions can be stressful enough without adding septic issues into the mix!
In this case, the drainfield failed the inspection, but the tanks still had a few years of useful life left.
So why replace the tanks now?

📍 The tanks were located in a difficult area to access.
💰 Replacing them later would likely have cost significantly more.
😩 Waiting would mean another major project, another disruption, and having to go through the process all over again.
The current homeowner was not obligated to replace the tanks just because it would be more convenient for the new homeowners. But after communicating with everyone involved, the new homeowners decided it made sense to take care of the tanks now while the work was already being done.

That decision will potentially save them money, time, and a whole lot of headaches down the road.
Most importantly, everyone understood the situation and felt good about the decision.
That’s what we strive for on every real estate septic project:

✅ Clear communication
✅ Honest recommendations
✅ Looking out for BOTH parties
✅ Finding the most practical solution
✅ Getting the job done right

We don’t just want to complete the work — we want to help make the entire process easier for everyone involved.
To all the realtors who continue to put their trust in us and refer us to their clients — THANK YOU! We truly appreciate your business and your confidence in our company.
If you’re a realtor looking for a septic company you can count on during a real estate transaction, give us a call. We’d love the opportunity to help make your next transaction a little easier.
Absolutely — here’s a strong mix of local, industry-specific, and referral-focused hashtags:

A two-story barn demolition yesterday!

Cole and Randy did an awesome job getting this barn knocked down and completely cleaned up. Once everything was cleared, we brought in fresh topsoil and finished grading the area to get it ready for seed.

Another job cleaned up and ready for a fresh start!

Another tank replacement completed yesterday!

This project was part of a real estate transaction. The existing septic tanks failed the real estate inspection, so we were able to step in and get the system taken care of and ready for the new homeowner.

Congratulations to the new homeowner, and thank you for trusting Walnut Grove Excavating to help get the job done!

Another full septic system underway! 🚧

The existing drainfield had failed due to tree roots, and with limited room in the front yard, we’re taking the new system to the backyard.

Sometimes septic replacements require a little creativity to work around established landscaping, trees, and tight lots. Our team is getting this one laid out and installed properly so the homeowner can have a reliable system for years to come.

Stay tuned as we work through this one! 💪
