We are thankful this holiday season for a safe and prosperous 2025. Chrouch offices will be closed December 24th-28th so our team can enjoy some well deserved and much needed time off. We'll reopen Monday, December 29th.

Last week our field and support services teams from both locations participated in training and recertification in CPR, AED, and first aid. It was our inaugural gathering in the new "technician squad room". Thank you to Life Ems Ambulance for providing the instruction to best serve our communities!

As we begin the final few months of 2025 its time for a facelift for the ol' Chrouch HQ. If these walls could talk! He's a small preview of the look and colors weve gone with. Here's a couple of things we're doing to invest in the future:

-Reworked front entry and lobby
-Updated technician bullpen and workspaces
-Increased conference room space for customer and team meetings.
-Updated kitchen area
-Updated technology infrastructure to support our customers and team.

We look forward to sharing these improvements with our team and guests as they come together.

While we argued about which is better; red or green this hay season, a couple thoughts rang out.

One thing that most surprises our customers when they visit us is that our office headquarters in Saranac is located LITERALLY in the middle of a hay field. Our directions to the office are those of yesteryear.
"Take Portland Road east of Nash Hwy. Look for the radio tower in the hay field. Hang a left. We're right there!"

This hay field has taught us a lot over the years about our business values. Three things really stand out;

1.) When its time, its time! Lots of planning and work go into preparing for the job. When the day comes and its time to execute, there's no room for delay or poor plannning. If we did our job, expectations are clear, instructions are concise, and we know what "done" looks like.
2.) You gotta have the right tools at the right time for the right part of the job. Substituting cheap stuff in a pinch or cutting corners doesn't help anyone. Theres a huge value in doing it once and doing it right!
3.) Its a all-hands endeavor. Everyone helps. Nobody quits. We take care of each other until the job is done and the field is picked up and clean. Then we celebrate.

Not 100% who we are, but just some thoughts about how we think. Thank you to those who trust us to serve!

This week we switch from a role of installer to one of service and support. As the contracted Motorola Service Partner on this project, we are very proud of our team for their dedication and hard work in support of the Calhoun County Community. Here's to many more years of safe and reliable public safety communication!

In case you ever wondered what COAX cable should look like, this is not it! Wrestling broken COAX into a knot ball like it owes you money doesn't work so good. Our crews found this abomination on the top of a water tower after the customer reported their radio repeater was on the fritz. While the easy solution would be to simply replace the repeater and assume it was the problem, our field techs did some basic troubleshooting with their gear. Not liking the readings they got, up the tower they went... Hidden (by someone) under some weatherproof wrap was the "knot of doom"... A couple $3 connectors and a smile; Boom! Done. A little extra care and detail saved the customer literally thousands of dollars in the long run.
Integrity people..... Integrity. Someone did this, and they're still out there.

Last week, members of our field services team traveled out-of-state to attend Tower Rescue Recertification. We hold these fellas and their families in high regard. Not only do they choose to climb but they also choose to be the rescuer if needed! Would you hang upside-down from a radio tower with a smile?! This team does.
