Romans 5:13 says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope..."
As hard as it is with grief and sorrow and heartache... this verse can be a source of meditation on the idea that God is the source of hope and that people can find joy and peace.
Yhisbwas a hard place to get to, but I was willing to be willing to trust. I am working through my rage at God for Peter's illness and passing...I'm still angry, and at the same time, I now have a sense of calm in this s**t storm of heartache.
Some ideas that may come from meditating on this verse:
God is the foundation of hope;
God loves people and wants what's best for them, so people don't need to worry about fixing everything.
God never runs out of hope to give, no matter how bad a situation seems.
Your Spirit is the engine that makes hope abound!
Trusting in Our Creator is an action.
Have faith even when things aren't going your way.
This can be a daily, hourly, or even minute-by-minute act.
