Seeing mushrooms popping up in your Florida lawn after the rain? Don’t panic—they're just nature’s cleanup crew! 🍄🌧️
Why they're there: Underground fungal threads (mycelium) break down hidden tree roots, thatch, and organic matter. Add Florida’s heat and summer rain, and caps pop up overnight.
What to do:
🧽 Pluck or Mow: Remove them early before they drop spores (especially if you have curious pets or kids!).
🚰 Adjust Watering: Water deeply in the early morning only when grass actually needs it.
🍂 Clean Up: Aerate compacted soil and clear away dead leaves, thatch, and fallen branches.
They're usually harmless to your grass and will disappear as the soil dries out!
