It was my unfortunate duty today to serve a former client with Judgement from Sarasota County Small Claims Court. He didn’t show up for the Preliminary Hearing, so the judge signed a Summary Judgement in my favor.

It’s a pleasure to be able to help my clients with their sites....like the boat marina I was at last Friday morning. The new owner of the marina had me sampling groundwater at the old fuel tank site there. The OLD owner came up to us there and ordered us to get out. While I kept on working, the two of them jawed for a bit and the sheriff’s office was called. After we finished the sampling work, we left and saw the deputy driving into the site. Never a dull moment in the environmental business. Please let me know if we can help YOU!

I was attending the Friday Pitch meeting today at the Sarasota-Manatee Association of Realtors. I happened to mention that this month we are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Steele Environmental Consulting, Inc!! I had said that this is the longest career / job I have ever had in my life. One of the other realtors there asked me, "Rick, how long have you and your wife been married?" I said, "27 years, why?" He said, "isn't that a job??"

I wisely kept my mouth shut.
