Handy stands for Helping Advance and Nurture the Development of Youth. The 21st annual Scholars Breakfast raised money to empower at-promise youth to choose a better future. Alumni speaker, Ryan Dominique, received a standing ovation for his heartfelt words about Handy's support on his journey. We also honored this year's Handy Scholars, our Champions of Children, and Handy CEO, Kirk Brown, who was celebrating his birthday!

The Council was founded in 1931, and has donated more than $37 million over the years to a range of nationwide family charities. Its fundraising events in New York City have honored Presidents, actors, celebrities, and philanthropists.

This year, Tampa became the second city to host these fabulous events. The inaugural Tampa Bay Outstanding Mother Awards honored Beth Cahill,
Elizabeth Dvorak, and Tracy West, with proceeds going to to aid their efforts to end childhood hunger.

It was an amazing day, thanks in large part to the star-studded cast of vendor partners: , , , , and . Can't wait for the Tampa Bay Father of the Year Awards on June 17th!

The 2026 Gala was an elegant affair with an exclusive performance followed by dinner and dancing. Katherine and Frank Martucci were honored for their longstanding dedication and belief in the organization. Our guests' generosity ensures The Sarasota Ballet will continue to garner national and international recognition while enriching the community in numerous ways.

I like to call the Mommy & Me High Tea, "Christmas in May," because when you see one of our young guests light up at the sight of a Disney princess, it's no different than if they had seen Santa Claus. The pure joy on their faces is truly magical.

This signature event is the brainchild of , owner of . Alyssa, , and the rest of their stellar team make sure no detail is spared, and this event is truly next level. It was great to have back for her 3rd year as emcee.

While the messaging is changed for our young guests, supporting is at the heart of Mommy & Me. It also gives Founder and Executive Director, , a chance to connect with the littles as only she can. This year, they learned about their "Super Voice," and how it can help keep them safe.

We had the perfect theme for the 20th annual Celebration of Caring: "Legacy in Focus." It was so heartwarming to take a trip down memory lane, remembering all the major milestones and various non-proft organizations the
has given grants to over the last two decades. Pyramid Inc. is one of those organizations, and the multiple performances by the Pyramid Players were the highlight of the night.

Sheri Schwab created the Foundation, so it was only fitting that she and her husband, Dr. Richard Schwab, served as our Gala chairs. It was a wonderful evening of honoring the past, celebrating the present, and inspiring the future.

The 17th annual Evening with the Tritons Dinner & Auction was a really fun night of celebrating and supporting Eckerd athletics. Women's tennis player, Morgan O'Connor, was one the stars of the event, as she helped our guests understand the importance of their generosity. From scholarships to travel abroad, updating facilities, and numerous other opportunities, the money we raised means so much to Eckerd's student-athletes and the entire athletic program.

went country! Guests loved our "Boots, Buckles and Bayshore" theme, complete with live music from . knocked it out of the park, creating a fun night for everyone, as we raised money to maintain Bayshore's standing as one of the premier places to play baseball and softball in Tampa Bay.

It's so rewarding to see the Star Gala get bigger and better every year. Our third annual event was our first sellout, and those generous guests led us to record-breaking fundraising.

Les Miller and Sandra Murman were our Honorees, and they shared the importance of "working across the aisle." Despite their political differences, Les and Sandy strongly agree that children's welfare has to come before partisan politics. The picture of them hugging on stage shows their deep bond.

After the program, we had the Star Gala's first After-Party! It was another sign of growth, as we continue to improve the guest experience and raise as much as possible to help children and families in Hillsborough County.

The Child Abuse Awareness Benefit luncheon was filled with emotion. It was uplifting to see friendly faces coming together to support such a great cause. It was devastating to hear stories from Trevor McClelland, author of "22 Houses Is Not a Home," about his journey through 22 foster homes while also experiencing periods of homelessness, and the abuse he suffered. It was humbling to see the generosity of our guests that will provide a better life for the children at Joshua House. From laughter to tears to the joy of working together for children who need us, this event had it all.
