“Pigtailed Bambi Lee, 18, said to be the first woman commercial window washer in California, is pictured high above the streets of San Francisco yesterday demonstrating her ability for the benefit of the photographer. ‘The union and employers are watching how I do; If I make it then there can be others,’ says the blue eyed blonde. Bambi’s boss says his new 120 pound apprentice of three months standing is the first lady window washer in the state work force of about 1000 men and some of them don’t like it.”
