Notable Shuffles:

The prep races are finished, the points are settled, and the Run for the Roses is just over a week away. Before the post-position draw this Saturday, we are locking in our Final Pre Post Draw Top 20 rankings for the 2026 Kentucky Derby!

We’ve spent months tracking these 3-year-olds from maiden romps to Grade 1 glory. Here's how the field stacks up for the First Saturday in May before Saturday's Post Position Draw:

👑 S-TIER (Odds: 7/2-5/1): Commandment, Further Ado, and Renegade.

⚔️ A-TIER (Odds: 8/1-10/1): The Puma and Chief Wallabee.

📈 B-TIER (Odds: 12/1-15/1): Danon Bourbon, Emerging Market, So Happy, and Fulleffort.

🎲 C-TIER (Odds: 20/1-30/1): Wonder Dean, Silent Tactic, Potente, Golden Tempo, and Incredibolt

The Road to the Kentucky Derby Ends at Keeneland! 🌹🏁

Today’s Grade 3 Lexington Stakes marks the final stop of the 2026 prep season. While the points today won’t change the Derby gate, this race is notorious for producing runners that make a massive impact in the Preakness Stakes just 2 weeks later in May! 🏔️🏇

📍 The Pick: #10 Confessional (7/2)
We’re leaning on back class today. Despite this being his first graded stakes attempt, he’s getting significant class relief against this field. He’s battle-tested and ready to fire. ⚔️

📍 The Longshot: #4 Enforced Agenda (10/1)
He’s our play for value. He had a tough trip in the Jerome last out, but if he gets a clean run today, he’s a major threat. 💎

📍 The "Prove It" Favorite: #9 Ezum (2/1)
He’ll likely be the most bet horse on the board, but he has to prove he can handle two turns for the first time. He can beat us, but we’re forcing him to do it at a short price. 🥊

The Final 100-Point Saturday on the 2026 Road to the Kentucky Derby! 🏇🏆

Today is the day where the final heavyweights officially stake their claim! We have three massive 100-point preps that will essentially lock in the top of the Kentucky Derby leaderboard. While the Lexington Stakes still looms next weekend for those on the bubble, the winners of today’s Grade 1 and Grade 2 events are punching their tickets to the first Saturday in May.

📍 Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes (Keeneland)
Big scratch to Class President.

🏆 #6 Further Ado (8/5): Our top pick and a horse that has shown elite 2-year-old class that we expect to translate today.

⭐ #4 Reagan's Honor (5/2): Looking to validate his recent form and secure a high-ranking spot on the OHR Big Board.

🥉 #3 Great White (15/1): A live longshot with a monstrous build.

📍 Grade 2 Wood Memorial (Aqueduct)
A historic day in Queens as we see the final running of the Wood at this legendary track.

🏆 #7 Albus (12/1): We are hunting for a price here; he's shown flashes of brilliance that suggest he's ready for this 1 1/8 mile test.

⭐ #13 Iron Honor (5/2): The heavy hitter in the field who will have to overcome a tough outside draw to win.

🥉 #2 Talk to Me Jimmy (6/1): A consistent, hard-knocking type that will be in the mix early.

📍 Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby (Santa Anita)
The California contingent takes its final shot at 100 points!

🏆 #7 Intrepido (7/2): Our top selection out West will be in the mix throughout with a grade 1 already under his belt.

⭐ #1 Cherokee Nation (5/2): Will look to protect the rail and use that tactical speed to secure a spot in the gate.

It’s the biggest Saturday of the spring so far! Two iconic Grade 1 races, 100 total qualifying points for each winner, and a field of superstars looking to punch their tickets to the first Saturday in May.

📍 Grade 1 Florida Derby (Gulfstream Park):

🏆 #6 Nearly (3/1): Our new selection to take it all. He has been flawless this season and has the tactical brilliance to win from anywhere.

⭐ #4 Commandment (5/2): Our second choice, who has massive stamina and will be coming hard at the end of 1 1/8 miles.

🥉 #2 Chief Wallabee (2/1): The Mott trainee who is always dangerous but will likely offer the least value today.

📍 Grade 1 Arkansas Derby (Oaklawn Park):

🏆 #6 Renegade (3/2): The heavy favorite for a reason. He looks like a monster on the track and is the horse to beat.

⭐ #2 Silent Tactic (5/2): The Southwest winner who proved he can circle a field. Can he do it again today against tougher?

🥉 #3 Blackout Time (6/1): Expect major improvement in his second start of the year. He ran huge in 2025; any step forward makes him dangerous.
