Happy September! (seriously, how is it September?!) We have some EXCITING things coming in 2027 and I've been eager to share!

First things first; I have officially transitioned to a new member & scheduling system! 🎉

As RLS Swim Academy continues to grow, one of my biggest priorities is making lesson access, registration, scheduling, and communication as easy as possible for my swim families💙

Right now, I have 186+ families on my current lesson waitlist, which is absolutely incredible! Many of those families joined the list at different points over the last FOUR years, so before I begin reaching out with new lesson opportunities, I want to make sure I’m connecting with families who are still actively interested in lessons.

✨ What does this mean for you?

If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to swim with me, want to return for additional lessons with us, or have a new little swimmer you’d like to get started, stay tuned! I’ll be sharing information on how to get set up in the new system and make sure your family is on my CURRENT interest list for upcoming opportunities!

Drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death for children ages 1–4

How learning to swim is sometimes treated like an extracurricular activity, when for us, water competency is a life skill.

How ISR and survival-focused swim instruction can be controversial, but so much of that conversation is surrounded by myths, misconceptions, and a lack of understanding about what properly taught survival swim actually looks like.

How we believe parents deserve education about the facts, the myths, the safety protocols, and the WHY behind the skills we teach so they can make informed decisions for their children.

And how we looked at all of that and thought… what if we could help change it?

When I finally made the investment to becoming an ISR instructor and obtaining my certification training, where I also assisted in teaching 2 of my own children, I watched them learn in months what we had spent years trying to accomplish in other swimming lessons.

So when people see the price of high-quality swim lessons and think, “That’s expensive…” I understand. But let’s do the math.
If you spend less per lesson but have to attend session after session, year after year, waiting for your child to develop the skills… are you actually saving money?
For me, swimming lessons have been one of the most INVALUABLE investments I have ever made for my children.
I wasn't paying for 10-15 minutes in a pool. I was paying for my child to know what to do if they fell in.
I was paying for independence.
I was paying for confidence.
I was paying for skills that continue growing with them.
And most importantly, I was paying for peace of mind.

When it comes to teaching my children skills that could save their lives, I will choose quality every single time. Because that peace of mind? Priceless. 💗🌊

And watching them at 5 and 7 confidently swim strokes across a pool today? Yeah… I definitely don’t feel violated. 😉

Happy TWO Years to Miss Abby! I’m so thankful she took a chance on me 2 years ago and helped me grow this program! It is not lost on me that she is part of the reason our students continue to learn and grow within this program with a skill, knowledge and availability that I do not have, nor would I even be able to expand to on my own. THANK YOU for your time and commitment to this program ♥️🥰
