Most of us like to do what feels natural.

That was the point of a simple exercise we used with a group of business managers: throw a tennis ball with your non-dominant hand.

🎾It feels awkward.
🎾It feels slower.
🎾It usually takes more thought.
🎾And honestly, it never looks very smooth at first.

That’s also what growth feels like. In F&I, it’s easy to fall back on the same habits, same word tracks, same process, and same comfort zone. But getting better often requires us to pause, adjust, practice differently, and be willing to feel uncomfortable on purpose. The goal isn’t perfection the first time.

The goal is to build the skill, confidence, and discipline to do things better than we did before. Growth doesn’t always feel natural at first. Sometimes getting better means being willing to go against the grain. 👊

When customers clearly see the value, price becomes secondary.
Great conversations focus on solving problems, creating trust, and delivering real results.
