Kicking off the season strong with some of our recent ZAP nominees!

Our lifeguards participate in the Zero Accident Philosophy (ZAP) program, created by Ellis & Associates, which focuses on preventing drowning and serious injuries in aquatic environments through proactive safety and constant vigilance.

Lifeguards who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety are recognized with ZAP bands as a symbol of their dedication, and are also eligible for prizes throughout the summer.

We’re proud to recognize these nominees for helping set the tone for a safe and successful season. Their commitment supports a strong start to summer and keeps safety at the center of everything we do!

Keeping everyone safe starts with clear communication.
Our Pool Safe and Swim Safe signs provide lifeguards and patrons with a clear understanding of lifeguard responsibilities and the standards required to operate a safe facility. These signs also communicate the roles and expectations around the pool, reinforcing that our top priority is reducing the risk of drowning.
By establishing clear expectations and promoting awareness, these signs help create a safer, more confident experience for everyone at the pool

May is Water Safety Month, and safety continues to guide everything we do.

Drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4, which is why our teams approach every pool with care, preparation, and attention to detail. From emergency response training and swim testing to daily operations, our approach is built around creating safe, reliable environments for the communities we serve.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a few water safety tips and reminders that help support safer experiences in and around the water.

Pre-season is here, and for many communities, pool openings across their facilities are already underway.

It’s one of the most complex seasonal amenities to prepare. Mechanical systems, water chemistry, safety requirements, and inspection timelines all need to align, and it doesn’t happen overnight.

The biggest challenge is timing. Teams that open on schedule treat it as a phased process, not a last-minute task, building in time for repairs, approvals, and the unexpected.

A successful opening means the pool is ready mechanically, compliant from a safety standpoint, and fully operational from day one, with trained, certified lifeguards in place and ready to staff.

That’s where planning early and having the right partner matters.

This past Saturday, our team attended and exhibited at the Washington Metropolitan Chapter Community Associations Institute (WMCCAI) Conference & Expo, connecting with board members, property managers, and industry professionals from across the region.

We enjoyed meeting new and familiar faces to discuss pool management, staffing, capital improvements, and regulatory updates for the 2026 season. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table. We appreciate the conversations and look forward to continuing them.
