As much as we like our animal kingdom at Savannah Boathouse, the trash cans are always an issue. We painstakingly researched heavy “non metal” trash can lids that were user friendly and raccoon resistant. This lid lasted ONE NIGHT!!! We have Herculean trash pandas here. THANK YOU to our amazing neighbor who found our lid floating in the Bull River and returned it to us. You have no idea how happy this made us. Welcome back lid- thanks for being a good swimmer ☺️.

It’s an incredible privilege to enjoy Memorial Day. Most of us are basking in a long weekend, filled with sunshine and salt air. Today as our SBH crew sends families out for on last bit of fun, we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to a very grateful nation. Today, for thousands of families, they are remembering a husband or wife, a son or daughter, a brother or sister, an aunt or an uncle, a niece or a nephew, or maybe a very best friend. They miss a real person who has left an un-fillable void. We offer our sincerest condolences to everyone missing your service member. May their memory be eternal.
