Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Hardin County HR Connect discussion on employee financial wellness!

We appreciated Jordan Howerton with United Way of West Tennessee sharing practical resources employers can pass along to employees, including free one-on-one financial counseling, Benefit Kitchen, 211, and the Family-Friendly Workplace Guide.

Our conversation also touched on the challenges many employees are navigating, from transportation and childcare to overtime and making ends meet. It was helpful to hear how local employers are working through these issues and sharing ideas with one another.

If you work in HR, make sure to join us at a future HR Connect meeting. We meet quarterly to connect, learn, and share resources that support our local workforce. We’ll share details about our next gathering in early 2027!

GovCon is always a valuable opportunity to connect with economic development professionals, state leaders, and partners from across Tennessee, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities to strengthen our communities.

It was a great few days of learning, networking, and gaining fresh perspectives on Tennessee’s continued economic growth.

Manufacturing Month starts today! 🏭

October is Manufacturing Month, and throughout the month, SIDC will be celebrating the people, products, and companies that make things happen right here in Hardin County.

Manufacturing is a big part of who we are, but sometimes we don’t realize just how many different things are made right here at home or how much goes into making them.

So this month, we’re going Hardin Made! 💙

Throughout October, I’ll be visiting some of our local industries, sharing a look inside what they do, highlighting the people behind the work, and hopefully showing you a few things about Hardin County manufacturing that you didn’t know.

There’s a lot to be proud of right here in Hardin County, and I’m excited to share some of it with you!

Stay tuned. Hardin Made starts now. 🏭⚙️
