Have you heard the word provenance? If you've ever been to an auction or spent time around antiques, chances are you've heard it more than once - it might just be the most important word in the room.

The Badminton Cabinet is one of the best examples of why. It sold at Christie's in 1990 for £8.5 million, already a world record for furniture at the time. When it came back in 2004, nothing about the piece had changed. Same cabinet, same extraordinary Florentine craftsmanship, same unbroken ownership history tracing directly to the Dukes of Beaufort. It sold for £19 million. That's what a well-documented history does over time. Buyers pay more when they know exactly what they're getting and where it's been.

And if pietra dura craftsmanship is something you appreciate, we have two beautiful examples coming to our June auction. Catalog dropping soon.

Auction June 23–25.

We are so back 🎬
Amanda headed to Tucson for the filming of Antiques Roadshow - 31 years of the show and they picked quite the location. Old Tucson is a legendary movie set where countless Westerns were shot, and somehow it made the perfect backdrop for people bringing their treasures through the desert dust.
Keep an eye out for the new episodes airing in early 2027. 👀

Can you recognize the scene? 🤔
A river, a cradle, a royal encounter - all stitched by hand in England around 1600. This is the moment the Pharaoh's daughter discovers the infant Moses… interestingly dressed in full Elizabethan fashion.
