In Pennsylvania, the second you see these hats on the side of the road, you already know you’re about to spend $40 on homemade food you absolutely did not plan on buying.
Fresh donuts. Apple fritters. Pretzel sandwiches. Homemade jams. Root beer. Baked goods that somehow change your entire day. Some of the best food in Pennsylvania isn’t in a fancy restaurant, it’s under a white roadside tent next to a farm field with a handwritten sign and a gravel parking lot.
