9/11 a somber day of remembrance for those that tragically lost their lives in an act of evil. We will never forget.

We will also never forget the true heroes that ran towards the chaos when others were in need.

-The first responders, citizens and our furry heroes like Riley pictured below to search the rubble.
-The acts or heroism that happened that day and forward.
-The patriotism and togetherness that came out when the world seemed shattered into a million pieces that gave us hope.

We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world and when our backs are against the wall, we show up for each other. In a time that seems so divisive inside of our country, lets remember our fellow Americans and love thy brother/sister.

More Loans. More Opportunity. More Reason to Know the Collateral.

Monitor's latest industry data shows equipment finance new business volume up 22.6%—an encouraging sign for our industry.

But here is the number that caught our attention:
24% of respondents now identify customer credit quality as their biggest concern, up from 16%.

This concern about customer credit quality is another strong reason to thoroughly understand the collateral backing the loan.

"There's a difference between looking up what a machine might be worth today and understanding the market that will ultimately determine its value."

There Is No "Guarantee Fairy".

A guarantee has value because it transfers risk. And transferring risk has a price.

When someone guarantees the sale of your equipment, they have to protect themselves against the downside. But as the seller, you should understand the trade-off.

But before accepting one, ask:

What am I potentially giving up in exchange for that certainty?

Then seriously consider the alternatives:

Private Selling → Pre-Auction Selling → Dedicated Unreserved Auction

Each alternative above gives the marketplace a different opportunity to establish what your equipment is actually worth.
