My manager Tevah had a great time on Tuesday showing our truck to the kids from Mrs. Cowart's pre-k class at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. It's always such a pleasure to see the smiling faces of the kids as they get to explore the trucks.

Due to the poor road conditions we will not be working tomorrow January24th. We were hoping that we would be back to work tomorrow but it doesn’t look like the roads are going to be safe.

If you weren’t picked up this week please place any extra garbage that you have next to the cart and we will get it on your next pickup day. I am also parking a garbage truck in front of our office in case you can’t wait until next week. I’ll have the truck out there Friday and Saturday from 8 - 4.

I went out and checked some of the roads this afternoon and it looks like it’s not going to be safe for my guys to be out there working tomorrow. I was hopeful that things would clear up today so we could get back to work but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Due to this unusually bad weather this week’s Wednesday and Thursday pickup days will be rescheduled for next week. 1/22 and 1/23 pickup’s will be delayed until 1/29 and 1/30.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience for you, but hope that you will be understanding during this unusual situation as we do our best to keep our employees and your neighborhoods safe.

Edit: We will be picking up any extra that you have out on your next pickup. Also, we are going to park a truck out front of our office to take extra household garbage if you want to bring it to us. Unfortunately in the past we have had people take advantage of this and use it as an opportunity to dump things that weren’t household garbage so if this happens I may have to bring the truck back in. I understand the dilemma everyone is in and I hope this will help.

Please be careful on the roads and hopefully we can get back to work soon.

Good morning. Doesn’t look like we will be able to work today. We’ll get back to work as soon as conditions are safe. Enjoy the rare beauty of the snow and stay safe.

We are keeping a close eye on the weather tomorrow. We hope to be able to work when the roads are safe to travel but we may be a day behind in some areas for the rest of the week. Please set your carts out as usual and we will get you picked up as soon as possible.

Looks like it’s going to be a wet one but we are planning on working our normal schedule this week. Please bear with us as we might be a running a little late. Also, keep in mind that if your street is flooded we may need to come back later in the week.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas weekend. We will not be working on Christmas or New Years day so our routes will be one day behind for the next two weeks.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Over the past few days we have have a few calls from customers concerned about rumors that they have heard about our company. I want to set the record straight.
We have not sold out and my family still owns and operates the company that my grandparents started over sixty years ago. I have no intentions of selling the business. I hope that at least one of my children will want to take it over one day and continue the legacy that my grandparents started.
Also, we do not have any plans to raise our prices anytime soon. I’m sure that at some point we will need to raise our rates to reflect the ever increasing cost of doing business but I hope to hold off on that as long as possible. I would also like to point out that we are committed to keeping our rates as simple as possible by not adding on extra fees such as fuel surcharges and environmental impact fees.
I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.

We are watching this storm close but right now we are planning to keep all of our routes on the regular schedule. If the weather gets too bad and I decide to call my guys in we will start back on Thursday and pick up where we left off.
