I’ve been working for for a few months now, doing some exciting stuff. I just finished converting this late ‘62 ES-345 from stereo to mono. This guitar could sell for $20,000. I hope I look this good when I’m 63 years old

It’s been awhile since I posted but I’m still here and still building. This was an all new modular concept I designed for a repeat customer. I’ve dubbed this model the Aquarius. Mahogany body with a thick curly maple top. Let me know what you think!

These are the two halves of the CS body. Ian machines them separately on the top and back of each piece and then glue them together using dowel pins to ensure proper alignment.

Fall is just around the corner, so we had to show off this voyager CS with Inferno finish and gold hardware amongst the leaves.

Typically wire wrapping is done with semi precious stones but Ian was inspired to use a guitar pick. Along with the guitar pick he also used some brass ball ends from bass and guitar strings.

One of the tools in Reddick Guitars Workshop is the CNC (Computer numerical control) machine. Ian upgraded it with a stronger spindle motor that allows him to run it more aggressively.

Ian says:
“I use it to make basically everything, it’s the most important tool in my workflow. It’s basically a robot that I program to cut out the parts that I design on the computer. I can make every part of the guitar by hand but that would take way too long. This machine gives me repeatability and frees me up to work on other things while it’s cutting”
