The U.S. Department of Labor is currently accepting proposals for the YouthBuild program. YouthBuild is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational services for opportunity youth ages 16-24 who left school without a secondary diploma. Participants learn vocational skills in construction, as well as other in-demand industries that include healthcare, information technology, and hospitality. Funding range per award is $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. The application deadline is 03/02/2026. We are here to assist if your organization wishes to apply.

And another grant win! We are pleased to have assisted the City of Buda in securing a $146,827 grant by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO). These funds were allocated from the Federal Transit Administration's Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Section 5310 program. Grant funds will used to purchase scheduling software and to hire a Bus Scheduler for the City's S.T.A.R. (Seniors Taking A Ride) Transit Service.

We are pleased to have assisted Wayne County, NC in securing a $500,000 grant to make one of their administration buildings more energy efficient. Funding will be used to replace the current windows with more energy efficient models, and to install an energy efficient HVAC system in the 3-story building.

The NCDEQ's State Energy Office has selected nine projects to receive $2.79 million in Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grants. TJD Consulting is pleased to have assisted the City of Buda (TX) in securing a $750,000 Local Parks from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department! Funding will be used for Garison Park - Phase I Development. Amenities to be installed include: (1) swimming hole on Onion Creek, (2) six pedestrian water access points, (3) kayak/canoe launch and washing station at the north end of the park, (4) bird blind and canopy walk, (5) overlook offering elevated views of Onion Creek, (6) nature play and picnic areas, (7) ADA-accessible ramp leading to the nature play and picnic areas, and (8) bike racks.
