Happy Labor Day! The Chamber is open today for holiday hours from 10am-2pm. We'll be taking a post-summer break after that and will re-open Friday September 11. Fall hours will be Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.

Now that the dust has settled a bit from last night's official send-off to Summer 2026, we'd like to thank Grit N Wh***ey for the fantastic show, Dee Bowen for leading the Line Dancing, Chamber staff and families for help making it happen, Town of Schroon Parks and Highway departments for always having our backs, Schroon Lake Fire Dept and Schroon Lake EMS for manning the road closure, Pitkin's Restaurant and Marie Rice for food and pie, the Town of Schroon for sponsoring the fireworks show, and all of you for joining us to help celebrate the end of another great season. Next up, the Fall Festival & Car Show on October 17!

A few final updates for tonight's festivities...Grit N Wh***ey will be playing their great Modern Country Rock starting at 7pm right in the center of Town on Main Street. Dee Bowen will be leading three Country Line dances: the first at 7:30pm, the second at a little after 8pm, and the last one at about 8:40pm. The rest of the time will be open dancing. We have a hard stop at 9pm, then you can head down to the Town Beach for fireworks!

For those who pre-ordered meals, we'll be set up right outside the Chamber for pickup beginning at 6:30pm. Please be sure to bring either your ticket or be ready to show your receipt. No additional meals will be sold tonight. $1 Marie's apple pie slices from Pitkin's will be sold in front of the Community Church until they're gone - first come, first served! No pie-eating contests, as we were short on signups.

Free popcorn courtesy of Hay Fields Antiques near the Chamber. The Schroon Lake Central School PTSO will be with us as well making cotton candy for a donation to their worthy organization. We'll also have our donation-based items available at a table in front of the Chamber.

Finally, you can still buy Summer Raffle tickets until 8pm at the Chamber this evening. We'll draw the winning tickets right after that. See you soon!

Today is the final day to buy your Summer Raffle tickets - we'll be selling them at the Chamber right up until we draw the winners at 8pm. Thanks to our generous member donors - Pine Cone Mercantile, Terra Alta Cottages, and The Lodge at Schroon Lake - three amazing prizes will be going home tonight. You've got to be in it to win it, so be sure to buy those last minute chances!

Summer 2026 goes out with a bang! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last regular season Schroon Lake Farmers Market at the Pavilion. Add to your shopping fun in the neighborhood by stopping in at the Schroon Lake Senior Citizens Club Garage Sale in the Park and the Friends of the Schroon Lake Public Library Book Sale (in the Health Center basement behind Town Hall). If you haven't visited the Schroon-Schroon North Hudson Historical Society Museum yet, Saturday will be their final day open this year. Then in the evening, we celebrate with our Annual Street Dance on Main Street...live music with Grit N Wh***ey, country line dancing, pie, popcorn, cotton candy from the SLCS PTSO...followed by fireworks at the Town Beach.

Just a reminder that parking will be restricted on Main Street between the Stewart's Shops driveway and the Community Church, and that stretch of road will be closed from 6:30 to 9pm with no through traffic allowed.
