Commercial paint bids – 2nd video to determine total area of concrete columns. Use the floor plan to determine concrete column perimeter and multiply by height measured in the elevation. Use your software count feature for total number of columns. Now you have the square footage of paintable surface.

Commercial paint bids – Exterior elevations only show 1 side or 25% of the concrete columns. Add the other 75% of the surface area on your excel spreadsheet and your quantities will not come up short.

Commercial paint bids – One line item with two scopes of work. Separate pricing on your excel for each scope of work to provide more accurate pricing.

Commercial paint bids – Are the HVAC vents painted or prefinished? The RCP says to paint the vents. The mechanical schedule says the finish is white. Would you just exclude it? On the other hand, would you take the time to write an RFI for clarification?

Are the doors field stained or shop finished? What is the correct finish? What is the best method to estimate this job and protect the commercial paint contractor?
