This is something I had on the drawing board at the late great Suarez International before I sold. It was going to be a thing and then Re*****on crashed and burned. This was shelved…and then the rest is history.

A note on Re*****on. I have been hard at work with shotguns, believing the weapon is the most effective killing tool we have available today…even in the era of rifles. I am not interested in being surgical…I want to be destructive. And I want the action to function like glass. No Mossberg will offer that and the rest of the pump actions out there are either trash…or made in Turkey…and also trash.

I have a Benelli Nova coming…ready made SBS. I have hopes but even it can only be taken to a level. The 870 is a blank canvas with the potential for a Da Vinci to create awesomeness. I have been hard at hunt for a new 870. And I found one…bargained it down from $400 to $250. Trump would be proud at the deal.

The project is The Gang Unit - a shotgun like the Stakeout, the Jungle Gun, The Point Man, and the Amphibian. But this one will be a straight SBS…and for free.

It is a standard police 870. The mock up will illustrate what I seek.

Barrel cut to 12" even with the magazine tube for a 4+1 capacity.
Ghost ring sights added and an optic…likely a Holosun
The usual tuning and polishing we did on the Stakeout
(I will do this myself as the old source is no more).
Big safety button
Probably a standard 870 polymer forend
A folder to increase concealment. I show a Choate and this MAY be the route, but I have some other ideas to examine too,

I expect conclusion of project by summer…these things take time. More to follow.

Oh and why not a semi auto? Currently there are no semi autos that can be both, cut to 12" barrel length AND have a folding stock. I can run a pump action quite fast and have no concerns that I am losing out over a semi auto. The mission is compact, concealed, and crushing devastation.
