Happy Friday.

As the week comes to a close, here's a simple reminder:

Progress isn't always loud.

Sometimes it's having a difficult conversation.
Sometimes it's staying calm under pressure.
Sometimes it's choosing to keep moving forward when things don't go exactly as planned.

Small steps matter. Consistency matters. Growth often happens quietly.

Wishing everyone a restful and meaningful weekend.

My neighbor performs with the PHX Golden Grannies and tonight she danced at a packed Mercury game. 🏀✨

This didn't happen overnight. She auditions every single year to earn her spot, shows up to rehearsals, and puts in the work consistently- and tonight she performed in front of thousands of people.

That's what commitment actually looks like.

Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend.

Today is a reminder to pause and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. 🇺🇸

Grateful for the freedoms, opportunities, and everyday moments that are possible because of their sacrifice.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Memorial Day.

One of the best things you can do for your mental health is stay connected to other people. ☀️

It’s easy to isolate when life gets stressful, overwhelming, or busy. But conversations, community, movement, shared meals, and simply being around good people can shift your mindset more than you realize.

This morning is a reminder to get out of the house, participate in life, and make time for real connection. Even small moments matter.

A calmer, healthier mindset is built through daily habits, not just positive thinking. That’s a big part of why I wrote The Calm Switch 💛

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday morning.

✨Prepared people respond. They don’t just react.✨

👉 The difference between someone who stays stuck and someone who moves forward usually isn’t intelligence or circumstance. It’s preparation.

When you understand your triggers and practice better tools ahead of time, you stop being controlled by every stressful moment.

That’s what The Calm Switch is about.

Not suppressing emotions.
Not pretending everything’s fine.
But learning how to pause, reset, and respond with intention when life gets difficult.

The pause is the power. 🧡

A little more about the person behind Balanced Route.

Some of my clearest thinking happens out here on the canal trails in Arizona. Movement has become one of the ways I reset perspective, process stress, and stay grounded during challenging seasons of life.

Over the past few years, I’ve become increasingly interested in emotional intelligence, communication, mindset, and the patterns that shape how we respond to pressure and change.

That interest eventually led me to write my first book, The Calm Switch.

Still learning. Still growing. Just sharing the journey along the way.

Not all progress is loud.

Sometimes growth looks like slowing down, resetting your perspective, and showing up again the next morning.

Arizona mornings help remind me of that 🌅

You would never say it to a friend.

But you've said it to yourself a hundred times.
You're too sensitive. You overreacted. Why can't you just hold it together.

That voice isn't truth. It's a pattern. One your brain learned somewhere along the way and kept running on autopilot.

The goal isn't to silence it. It's to stop mistaking it for reality.

Next time that voice shows up, ask yourself: would I say this to someone I love?
If the answer is no- it doesn't deserve your compliance either.

Be as kind to yourself as you would be to someone you love. You deserve that same grace.

Someone at work tells you something about a colleague. You don't have all the facts. But your brain starts filling in the gaps anyway.

Before you know it you've built an entire story around something you didn't actually witness. And now you're carrying it into every interaction with that person.

This is one of the most common ways workplace drama starts. Not with malice. With an incomplete story we convinced ourselves was true.

One of the things I write about in The Calm Switch is how our brains are wired to fill in missing information, often inaccurately, and how that automatic process quietly drives conflict, gossip, and disconnection at work. The pause isn't just for when you're angry. It's for before you decide what something means.

👉Next time you catch yourself building a story around someone's behavior, ask yourself: what am I actually sure of here?

Have you ever caught yourself doing this? What helped you step back?

After countless revisions, rewrites, edits, formatting fixes, and learning curves… it’s finally here.

My book, The Calm Switch: How to Control Your Emotional Reactions Before They Control You, is officially live. 📘

This project challenged me more than I expected. It forced me to slow down, reflect, grow, and become more aware of how emotional reactions can shape relationships, decisions, stress, communication, and everyday life.

This isn’t about being “perfectly calm.”
It’s about learning how to pause before reacting, communicate better, regain self-control, and navigate difficult moments with more clarity and emotional intelligence.

If you’ve ever:
• overreacted and regretted it later
• struggled with stress or conflict
• felt emotionally overwhelmed
• wanted healthier communication and stronger self-awareness

…this book was written for you.

Thank you to everyone who supported me through the process. This is only the beginning. 🙏
