Over the past two weeks my company and team had the opportunity to work alongside the incredible team at , supporting training and coordination within their Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Across more than 40 school sites, I saw a level of dedication and commitment that truly defines what preparedness should look like. District leadership, site administrators, and staff leaned in, asked hard questions, and worked through complex, real-world scenarios with focus and intention. From establishing clear command and control to strengthening communication, situational awareness, and resource coordination, every conversation and every decision reflected a shared priority: protecting students and supporting their school communities.

Grateful to partner with a district that is not only investing in planning and training, but in people, leadership, and readiness. 👊

Whirlwind of the past 24-hrs 👀 LAX ✈️ PHX ✈️ LAX

This morning I had the privilege of delivering the at the Arizona Emergency Management Conference

The profoundly affected lives, from the communities devastated to the responders who stood on the front lines. Sharing these experiences matters.

The good, the difficult, and the hard-earned lessons all carry value. By telling our stories honestly, we grow stronger together and prepare more effectively for what comes next.

Honored to give the address for the this morning for the 2025-2026 school year!

We explored the “power of three” as a framework for shaping narratives, approaching everyday challenges, and cultivating a culture of safety and trust on campus. It’s always inspiring to see a district so committed to preparing both staff and students for whatever comes their way. Thank you for having me! 🙏

When and invite you to speak at their course on and , the answer is an easy yes.

It was an incredible honor to share insights with such engaged, thoughtful participants—and to be part of a program dedicated to preparing leaders for high-stakes moments. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity and for the meaningful conversations that followed.

We laughed and I cried (always so telling the experiences I’ve lived through) and my future MIT-er was there to experience it all. 🙏

Two powerful days training the incredible staff and administrators at on , , and 💪

At one point, I asked who had trained with me before—and every single hand went up. 🙌 Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

But the real win? Staff remembered the training. They could speak to it, apply it, and reflect on how to get even better. That’s the magic. 💥

Honored to speak at the in San Francisco today.

With over a decade in crisis communications, I’ve learned that our words don’t just inform—they shape decisions, emotions, and outcomes. Today’s session focused on the power of storytelling in emergency response: how to “feel the facts” and deliver messages that truly resonate.

As PIOs, our words matter. They carry weight, influence, and responsibility.

Grateful for the thoughtful engagement from everyone in the room. It’s never perfect, but we can always do better—for the people we serve.
