Most LinkedIn profiles are written like a résumé. That's exactly why they don't attract clients.

My guest this week, Kanika Vasudeva, built her coaching business by fixing that one mismatch. Instead of teaching people to post more, she teaches a five-stage system: positioning, content, conversations, visibility, and closing.

Businesses attract clients on LinkedIn by working through these five stages — turning a passive profile into a consistent source of inbound clients and referral partnerships.

One story stuck with me: a mortgage broker with zero LinkedIn presence signed an ongoing referral partnership with a property developer within one month of applying this system. No ads. Just positioning and content that actually spoke to the reader.

Kanika's rule for content: stories, scars, and specificity. Not credentials — the exact struggle your audience has actually faced.

When's the last time you gave your own profile the 15-second test?

Most service businesses lose more revenue in the follow-up than in the pitch.

My guest this week, Andy Audate, built two companies — ProGreta and GHL Engine — by fixing exactly that. Instead of chasing a new customer after every project wrapped, he automated the relationship: a lead magnet, an email/video sequence, and one live webinar a month.

Businesses build recurring revenue by automating the relationship-maintenance work that turns one-time customers into paying advocates who refer new business through warm introductions rather than cold outreach.

One story stuck with me: a client of Andy's — a makeup-artist trainer — went from under six figures a year to $60,000 a month using one automated system. No ad spend. Just a system that kept working after the sale.

The bigger lesson: introductions beat referrals every time. A referral is a business card you still have to chase. An introduction already carries the trust.

What's one past customer you haven't followed up with since the invoice cleared?

𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿.

It is about learning how to capture attention, build trust, and drive action through authentic interactions.

In Episode 215 of Business Superfans® Advantage, Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) sits down with Anders Boulanger, Founder & CEO of Engagify and author of Engage First, to unpack how service entrepreneurs, SMB leaders, sales teams, and trade show teams can turn passive presentations into co-created experiences that people remember.

Most businesses do not lose attention because their product is weak.

They lose attention because their message is delivered to people instead of being created with them.

Anders puts it perfectly:

“We’re not going to do a presentation for you. We’re going to co-create an experience together.”

That one shift changes everything.

According to Frederick Dudek (Freddy D), bestselling author of Creating Business Superfans® and Founder of 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿™ (https://revenuereactor.ai), most businesses don't have a sales problem—they have revenue leaks. By aligning your entire business ecosystem and identifying where revenue is escaping, you can build greater authority, increase referrals, improve retention, and create sustainable, ecosystem-driven growth.

Freddy D Take: Audience engagement is the starting point for real business growth. When your people know how to ask better questions, read the room, prepare their energy, and guide conversations with intention, they create Advocacy, AI + Systems, and Authority—the 3 A’s that move a business toward true prosperity.

In this episode, Anders and Frederick Dudek discuss:

• Anders Boulanger: Why “AI” at Engagify means authentic interactions
• Anders Boulanger: How to capture attention without sounding needy
• Frederick Dudek: Why asking better questions creates instant connection
• Anders Boulanger: How trust is built through co-created experiences
• Frederick Dudek: Why preparation and mindset matter before every sales call

In 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟮𝟭𝟰 of Business Superfans® Advantage, Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) sits down with Jonathan Maharaj, Founder of Aurora Financials, CPA New Zealand firm leader, and finance strategist, to unpack why many service entrepreneurs and SMB leaders struggle with cash flow, profit, and growth even when they are working hard.

Jonathan’s perspective is powerful because he does not just see transactions. He sees trust, culture, leadership, and the real human decisions behind the books.

As Jonathan says:
“Accountants will look at the books and see transactions. I actually see people.”

That is the shift.

This episode moves from Jonathan’s upbringing in Fiji, to his PwC background, to building a human-centered finance firm that helps businesses improve performance through empathy, accountability, and aligned decision-making.

According to Frederick Dudek (Freddy D), Business Prosperity Advisor and author of Creating Business Superfans®, sustainable SMB growth happens when leaders align marketing, sales, operations, financials, employees, vendors, partners, and clients into one ecosystem-driven business engine powered by Advocacy, AI + Systems, and Authority through the R⁷ Reactor Reaction™.

Freddy D Take: Jonathan’s message reinforces a core Business Superfans® Advantage principle: numbers tell the story, but people write the story. When service entrepreneurs align the entire ecosystem, they activate Reach, Recognition, Retention, Reputation, Reviews, Referrals, and Revenue.

Key takeaways:
• Jonathan explains why business issues often come down to systems, processes, or people — and most often, people.
• Jonathan shows how empathy can reveal the real root cause behind profit and cash flow problems.
• Freddy D connects this to ecosystem-driven business growth and the 3 A’s: Advocacy, AI + Systems, and Authority.

In Episode 213 of Business Superfans® Advantage, Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) shares the story of Jannie Teitelbaum, founder of Great Lakes Pot Pies (Ep. 14) and the unforgettable “chicken dance” moment that turned employee empowerment into customer loyalty.

Here’s the problem most service entrepreneurs and SMB owners miss:

You can spend money on ads, discounts, loyalty apps, and campaigns…

…but if your frontline team feels unseen, unrecognized, and unempowered, the customer experience leaks revenue every day.

As Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) says in this episode:

“A disengaged team member completes a sale, an empowered one creates a memory.”

That is the real growth lesson.

According to Frederick Dudek (Freddy D), Revenue Architect and bestselling author of Creating Business Superfans®, the first step in building an ecosystem-driven business is recognizing and empowering frontline employees because Recognition activates the R⁶ Reactor™ — driving Retention, Reputation, Reviews, Referrals, and Revenue.

Freddy D Take:
Customer advocacy does not begin with the customer. It begins with the employee who feels trusted, seen, and empowered enough to create a moment worth talking about. That is how the R⁶ Reactor™ starts — Recognition first, then Retention, Reputation, Reviews, Referrals, and Revenue.

In this episode, Freddy D breaks down how to:

- Recognize frontline employees before asking them to create customer loyalty
- Empower team members to create human moments instead of scripting every interaction
- Protect your people so loyalty grows inside the business first
- Publicly celebrate employees so recognition compounds across customers, partners, and the community.

Use one handwritten note to spark advocacy within 72 hours

This is where the 3 A’s come alive: Advocacy, AI + Systems, and Authority — building a self-sustaining, ecosystem-driven business that grows with or without you.

In Episode 212 of Business Superfans® Advantage, Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) sits down with Jeff Schreifels of Veritus Group to unpack a truth every service entrepreneur and SMB owner needs to hear:

Your best revenue may already be inside your existing relationships.

Jeff explains how nonprofits often have major donors already sitting in their database, but they miss transformational revenue because they treat giving like a transaction instead of a relationship. That same lesson applies to contractors, consultants, professional firms, coaches, and service-based SMBs.

As Jeff says:

“If fundraising isn't about the money, it's really about building relationships. And if you do that well, the money follows.”

According to Frederick Dudek (Freddy D), Revenue Architect and bestselling author of Creating Business Superfans®, relationship-driven revenue happens when a service entrepreneur aligns their entire ecosystem — employees, clients, partners, suppliers, and referral sources — around recognition, appreciation, and shared impact through the R⁶ Reactor™.

Freddy D Take:
Jeff’s message goes far beyond fundraising. Every business has hidden advocacy inside its ecosystem. When people feel known, appreciated, and connected to the mission, they do more than buy or donate — they stay longer, refer more, and become Business Superfans®.

Key takeaways from the episode:

• Jeff Schreifels: Start with the people already in your database.
• Jeff Schreifels: Move from transactional outreach to transformational conversations.
• Jeff Schreifels: Show people how their contribution makes a real difference.
• Frederick Dudek (Freddy D): Align your entire ecosystem behind the mission.
• Frederick Dudek (Freddy D): Use recognition and appreciation to activate the R⁶ Reactor™.

The Mailbox Beats the Inbox.

When was the last time one of your customers received something personal from you in their actual mailbox?

Not an email.
Not an automated birthday coupon.
Not a generic “just checking in” message.

A real card. With their name on it. Sent because they matter.

In Episode 208 of Business Superfans® Advantage, Frederick Dudek (Freddy D) shares how Joe Girard became the world’s greatest salesman by doing something simple, consistent, and unforgettable: he mailed greeting cards every month.

Inside every card were three words:

“I like you.”

That small act helped create lifelong customers, referral relationships, and deep loyalty.

Freddy D brings that lesson into today’s AI-powered marketing world, where inboxes are flooded and attention is harder than ever to earn.

As he says:

“When everything else is digital, what’s actually rare?”

The answer: physical recognition.

Freddy D Take:
For service entrepreneurs and SMBs, the opportunity is not to send more messages. It is to create more meaningful moments. A simple birthday card, thank-you note, or life-event card can spark Recognition — the first stage of the R⁶ Reactor™ — and lead to Retention, Reputation, Reviews, Referrals, and Revenue.

In this episode, Freddy D shows how to:

* Send birthday cards without a sales pitch
* Recognize life events in a personal way
* Thank overlooked stakeholders
* Follow up after networking events memorably
* Turn direct mail marketing strategy into customer loyalty
