We published this article almost a year ago, and it seems like things have only become more clear as of yesterday's big announcements:

- Social Security's costs are expected to exceed its income in 2020 for the first time since 1982. The program will need to dip into its $3T trust fund.

-By 2035, the trust funds for Social Security and Medicare will be depleted and Social Security will no longer be able to pay its full scheduled benefits as things currently stand.
