Fantastic news from our capital campaign client, the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina!

After a beautiful kick off in August, they have successfully met their primary goals! Well over 31 bishops contributed to this reparative justice campaign as well faithful congregations and community members from across the diocese.

New Client Alert!

We are honored to walk with the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island during their time of transition. The Rt. Rev. Adam J. Shoemaker was ordained as bishop on September 19, 2026 and shared with the diocese the following week that this would be a season of listening together.

"We are bringing in a team, outside the staff, to help us do this well. Their job is not to come in and diagnose us or hand us a report full of recommendations we didn't ask for. Their job is to help us listen better than we could on our own — to design a process that actually reaches the staff, the parishes, and the wider diocese, to hold space for honest answers, including the hard ones, and to make sure that what we hear is what actually shapes what we decide. I did not want a process where a handful of us at the top read a few pages of summary and then made the calls we were probably already leaning toward. I want a process built so that the decisions genuinely come from your stories and from the stories of this diocese — not from my assumptions about what those stories must be."

This powerful and pastoral word embodies how Vandersall Collective seeks to move in the world: embodying care and God's love during important moments in the life of faith communities.

St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Knoxville, TN just kicked off their capital campaign with 75% already raised!

One of our very favorite moments in capital campaigns are when we announce what has been raised at the kick off. It's the moment where people realize that what may have felt like disconnected idea is an exciting reality. It's when people discover that we can do hard things together and even do it joyfully.

We are delighted to welcome a returning client: The Episcopal Diocese of Iowa!

After a beautiful time of listening and discerning across the state, the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa is ready to begin a feasibility study for a capital campaign. This is made possible due to a generous partnership with the Presiding Bishop's Office of the Episcopal Church as the second diocese in their pilot program.

Our time of listening showed a diocese committed to strengthening their congregations and committed to growing together in love.

We can't wait to get started on this next phase!

What makes fundraising a pastoral ministry?

We believe meeting people where they are is crucial. Using churchy language, without reflection, can be a barrier. We encourage our clients and colleagues to name our shared experience and use words that reflect your community.
