What an amazing turnout for today’s Touch-A-Truck event! 🚒❤️

We loved seeing so many families come out, kids exploring the trucks, and all those smiling faces! Seeing the excitement from the kiddos made the day a huge success!

As always, thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We are proud to serve our community alongside our fellow Russell County departments!

We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!

And if you didn’t get to try the LONGEST French fry in Russell County, you definitely missed out! 🍟😂 But stay tuned… they just might make a comeback! 👀

🚒 DID YOU KNOW? Before fire trucks had sirens, firefighters sometimes used bells and even trumpets to warn people they were coming! Come see us on Saturday! Remember- NO Horns or sirens from 10-11!

The first half of 2026 has been busy!
Here’s a look at what we’ve responded to so far:

22 Fire Calls
51 Medical Calls
2 Hazardous Condition Calls
6 Weather-Related Responses (Trees Down)
4 Non-Emergency Calls

Total Calls: 85

Every call represents someone in our community who needed help. Whether it was a medical emergency, a fire, storm damage, or another emergency, our volunteers answered the call—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thank you to our firefighters for their dedication, to their families for their support, and to our community for continuing to stand behind us. We look forward to serving Russell County throughout the rest of 2026.
