The entire state is now under a burn ban. We are in dire need of some rain in our state. Be cautious even when doing yard work, as machines get hot enough to start fires in these conditions. We had to fight a fire yesterday where someone lost their lawn mower in about an half acre fire.

If you do anything outside be sure to have water for yourself to stay hydrated, and water handy to stop fire start and spread. Check on people you know who have to be out in this or are elderly. As always if you need us, call 911, and stay safe out there Arkansas. Hopefully we'll get through this soon.

🔥Wildfire risk is increased across Arkansas, and the Department of Agriculture is asking residents to stay alert and use caution. Dry weather has made it easier for fires to start and harder to keep them contained, which means even small outdoor fires can spread quickly under the right conditions.

Well, to go along with the somber feel of today, a burn ban was enacted for our county. Conditions are bad, and with the heat and wind that is to continue, will only make things worse.
