Our family experienced 6, yes, SIX life changing disruptions in the past 14 months. That is 3 deaths, and 3 major life changing events.
Toooo much in such a short amount of time. It was quite difficult and unbearably painful.
While crossing the bridge of change, I often found myself listening to this YouTube channel, particularly to this video.
I KNOW that vulnerability is not something popular in this social media theater where the only play we sell is "happiness", even when we all know that most of what we share is curated to showcase a version of ourselves that is mostly fake and unreal.
Moving on after change takes a lot of work and courage. It takes real fuc # # work to accept change, and move on, and smile... all at the same time.
I value my vulnerability. I've learned to embrace it, see the benefits of falling apart and slowing my pace to make space for the awkwardness of new beginnings.
Change and transformation is, after all, what it means to be alive.
