Wildflowers, marmots and friends - that was how I started the work week 🪻This was a repeat trip and I first took in 2020. I remember feeling crazy out of shape (even though I’d had a baby only 5 months earlier 👶🏼!) and huffing and puffing my way up the “easy” trails of Mt Rainier 🏔️ This time, 3 years later, I was SURE I wouldn’t be as winded…but I still struggled to walk and talk on the steep incline 🥵 I could feel myself getting frustrated that I hadn’t gotten any “better” at this 😤 As the path leveled and the marmots started appearing, I paused my self-flagellation and realized it doesn’t matter. (It really doesn’t!) I didn’t set out to be a mighty hiker - I just wanted to see the wildflowers with my friend. Mission accomplished, thank you body, for what you can do. Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk 🙃

Blueberry picking on an overcast day. It felt kinda meditative (even with my chatty helpers) just focusing on the one little task of finding the bluest berries. The plink, plink, plunk in the pail, just like in “Blueberries for Sal” 🫐It reminded me of Maine, and summers spent with my Grandparents. Blueberry pie sitting on the deck, wrapped in blankets to keep out the mosquitos. I feel far away from those summer days, but I’m grateful that blueberry picking today brought back the warm memories. ❤️

*lowers volume of perfectionism* 🔇 Ok friends, it’s August 1st and I’ve set myself some goals for this final month of summer ☀️ One of them is to be more consistent with marketing. Which I always feel icky about. Sales. Marketing. Pushy. Ads. 🥴 But, I’m going to try and reframe (pun intended) this in terms of my core value of connection. The more I share about Reframe, my incredible clients and what I’m learning as I go, the wider the message spreads and the more I can be in service 😃 So, today I celebrate taking action on my goals, a semi-tidy desk and the view of Lake Washington from my bike. What are you celebrating today? 🥳

Kicked off another session of Make Your 40 Hours Count last night with an amazing group! A theme that came up was creativity and how to operate from a place of creativity even when we’re in jobs that feel draining, rote or energy-sucking. And who is on my wall this month to remind me that creativity is always within us? (Even if it feels far away?) It’s of course 🙌😁👩‍🎨

You are the bright future of authentic leadership.

But if you’re lacking the right tools or you’re carrying past-workplace trauma, it’s hard to know how to grow into the kind of leader the world needs.

Level Up is a three-session group coaching workshop that helps you define what meaningful leadership looks like for you.

- Define your core leadership values

- Develop the skills you need for effective and empathetic communication

- Create your leadership action plan

Gain best practices, real-time support, and a supportive community of peers also seeking to level up in their careers and leadership.

It’s that time of year!

We’re starting to reflect on 2022 – all the good and the bad – and think about our hopes and dreams for 2023.

We all do it, but do we really take the time to honor our experiences and reflect on:

What’s gone well?
What’s felt hard or painful?
Where have we grown?

But reflection is often key to learning from our past for our future.

On Dec. 30th, join me for a special end-of-the-year workshop to do just that:

🔦Reflect on 2022
📜Set clear intentions for your career and leadership in 2023
👯Gain a community and accountability to support you throughout the year

Reflect to Reframe: 2023 Career & Leadership Intention Setting The end of the year offers an opportunity to reflect on our highlights and growth as well as set intentions for how we want to spend our year ahead Reflection is the process of learning from our past for our future. Anyone feeling the need to slow down this summer?

Taking a pause allows us to integrate all that we’re learning and experiencing – but in order to make that possible, we need to breathe. Most of us take this for granted (thank you autonomic nervous system!), but when we're in a state of stress, we often end up with a rapid mind and rapid breath. Over time, our hamster wheel minds and shallow breaths can lead to dysregulation, which takes a toll on our bodies, mind and emotions.

Instead, intentional breathing regulates our nervous system and allows us to integrate all of the inputs coming at us every day. An intentional pause - such as checking in with our breath - also creates space for creativity and for us to reconnect with what brings us joy.
