How to repurpose your content for multiple platforms!

If you saw my post last week about the secret to repurposing content you know that a mindset shift will transform your content game!

As promised here is part two: How to make it happen!

✨Start with an idea!

✨Decide which platforms you want to feature your content on.

✨Write up an outline of the key points and purpose of the content.

✨Then get creating, start with one platform, and picture how that exact piece of content would look like on each platform.

For example, you renovated or did a DIY project.

✨Blog post - This is the most ideal piece of content to start with! Repurpose your blog for all of your other posts. It should be an in-depth write-up on the concept or instructions. Very detailed. Don't forget to add your affiliate links!

✨Instagram Post - picture of the results, talk about how you feel about it and add a CTA to check out the blog post for more details.

✨Reel or IGTV- Or both 😉. Before and after or a fun production basic how-to.

✨Story - talk about the post, do a poll, add a question box! etc. (use the Q&A to make more future posts!)

✨Tiktok - Use your reel or a slightly altered version.

✨Youtube - Use your blog to outline your video, or possibly repost your IGTV.

There you go!

The best part is this is just the beginning. You should think of every idea as a spiderweb. How many ways can you share that idea on one platform, then take each new idea and translate it to each platform. With this technique, you can keep multiplying your content!

Self-care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what's left of you!

If you saw my last post about the importance of breaks I hope you thought about what a 'me day' would look like. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's the perfect time to show yourself a little love!

I've created a Valentine’s self-care bingo for the weekend to help!

Do you have any fun Valentine’s Day plans?

You should really take a break!

Avoiding breaks leads to major burnout. When I recently took all that time away from posting on here, one month of it was spent in a state of absolute burnout! I was in over my head. The pressure and overwhelm really got me.

That's why you need to check in with yourself and take notice of where you're at and what you need. A little break goes a long way! Instead of taking 2 months off... *cough cough me*..take a day or two and refocus.

Try this!
Day 1 - Refocus your goals and your to-do list. Get your mindset straight without starting any of those tasks.
Day 2 - me day! DO NOTHING THAT DOESN'T FILL YOUR CUP. Self-care only, absolutely no business to be had.

Then come back the next day, totally refreshed and ready to crush your goals!

Now if this makes you panic that no one will be there to answer your DMS/comments/emails etc you may need a virtual assistant to keep things going when you need time away. Let me help you build a really good work-life balance! Shoot me a message or check out the link in my bio.

The secret to repurposing content! Can you guess what it is?
This might sound annoying but the secret is a shift in your mindset! Hear me out.

Have you ever wondered how brands and influencers have been able to post content on tons of different platforms? How do they keep up?! Most aren't making completely new content for each platform. I mean truly who's got that much energy? Not me! What they've done is mastered the art of repurposing their content.

No that does not mean they make one post and blast it everywhere!

What they do is take one idea and imagine how it would look on each platform, then they tailor it to each one. Instead of thinking one idea = one post, they take one idea and create a web of content.

Stick around next week to find how to implement this mindset shift & repurpose your content, the easy way!

Hey Interior Creatives!

Is there something that is always in the back of your mind stressing you out?

The thing you keep telling yourself you need to figure out, you need to make it a habit, you need to stop procrastinating?

Most of us have quite a few of them. It's likely that you are putting it off because you either don't enjoy doing it, you don't know how to do it, or you just can't find the time.

If you're feeling like this about a couple of tasks, then now is the time to outsource!

You shouldn't have to do it all. Especially the tasks that need to be done, but keep you from your purpose.

Let's talk about what we can do to make it work! Fill out my questionnaire so we can get to the bottom of your hang-ups & work together to reduce your stress and get you back to doing what you love!

Ouch! This quote hit me where it hurts. How many times have you not done something because you feared failure, then realized a long time later that if you continued you would most likely be very successful by now?

I've done this more times than I'd like to admit. It starts with a bright shiny idea and lots of excitement that quickly leads to realizing just how much work it is to make your big lofty goals come true. Then the fear sets in!

This is where people tend to quit or keep doing the same thing hoping for new results.

What if you had someone in your corner to help you tackle that new goal! To help you strategize, plan, and execute. Someone to reassure you when you're about to take that big leap and help you make it happen!

This is what I do! Also why I love what I do so much. I get to help people make their dreams come true, so next year they can look back and be proud of themselves for going for it.

I love an easy fix! Optimizing your profile is an easy way to drive more traffic, help direct followers to your services/blog/store, etc, and help you gain followers who land on your page!

I see a lot of bios that just need a little bit of help! I've created a checklist to help you have your bio in tip-top shape.

1. Set your profile picture to a photo of yourself. For most pages, you'll want to use a photo of yourself instead of a logo. This helps people immediately recognize you and creates trust and connection.
*there are some cases that a logo is better, if you have a dedicated Instagram to a store or if you are an agency, that sort of thing.
2. Include your title in your name. This helps you come up when people search your title. Example: Tessa || Virtual Assistant.
3. Link your site! Recently, there's been talk that link tree is frowned upon by Instagram and TikTok, it can cause you to be seen as spam. If you still need a link tree type site I use Milkshake!
4. Now for your bio! Tell people what you do, or what to expect on your page. Rather than focusing on who you are. Keep the boy mom, dog lover for your stories and content! You want people to instantly know what to expect so they will follow.
*the exception is having pronouns/LGBTQ+ in your bio, this can create trust and connection.
5. Save room in your bio for a call to action. This looks like "head over to my blog for more", "Book a consultation with me!"
6. Do you have another account you want people to see? You can now toggle on the account you want to be seen. It will show up when people tap on your user name.

Ahh finally! The rebrand. I had so much fun working on this! I'll be honest though, working on your own branding is strange. At least for me, it was. Maybe because I'm a Gemini? We can blame it on that. Just having all that creative freedom got to me. I went down a million paths and ideas! I just really love design and the vast variety of branding I see out there!

Anyway, here it is! Swipe to see my branding sheet, color pallet & image inspiration. I had such a good time doing this and it really helped me center myself on my goals as a business.

Are any of you going through a rebrand right now? If you need someone to bounce around ideas with DM me!

It's about time I reintroduce myself!

✨I'm Tessa!✨

I'm a Virtual Assistant, I help interior creatives reach their big business goals by tackling their to-do list.
I'm 27 years old. My little family includes my fiancé Dylan, and our two adopted senior dogs.
We recently moved out of Seattle to buy a home on the Peninsula. We both really enjoy doing renovations and home projects! He's incredibly handy so I lucked out.
When we aren't working around the house we spend the rest of our time cooking, camping, exploring, and thrifting. I know very PNW of us!

I have many years of sales, customer service, and admin experience.
I also spend much of my free time learning various tech skills. Like HTML 5 and CSS 3. I have been diving into UX, which has been my favorite so far! I learned how to use Sketch and illustrator this last year which I have too much fun with. I know tech classes might not be everyone's idea of a fun evening but I love it!

Do we have anything in common? Let me know!

It’s been a long time since I've posted on my feed. To be honest I had to take a step back. I've been struggling more mentally this last year than ever before. While I'd like to say I was gone so long because I just needed time away, or because I was working on a rebrand, that wouldn't be totally accurate. What it really comes down to is self-doubt. I always tell myself, I have to know everything before I jump in. I have to have taken all of the courses and done all of the things to be able to start. I convince myself that I'm missing something and other people must have knowledge that I don't. It turns into a never-ending cycle of over-preparing to avoid taking the real risks! So I'm working on that.

I have great strengths and I would be a huge asset to anyone who needs assistance. So I'll be focusing on showing up here, taking the risks, and growing my business.

All that said the time away was mostly good! It did include many days of guilt, FOMO, & questioning absolutely everything I do and have ever done but I like to think that's a part of the process. I have reimagined my business, my life & my long-term goals. I'm really looking forward to making this thing happen.

I can't wait to assist all of you awesome creatives build the business of your dreams! I have so many fun & helpful things planned for you all. Be on the lookout for new content! If you have any questions or just want to connect my DMS are always open. Additionally, If you are ready to have a wing woman helping you make it happen I have a link in my bio!

Are you ghosting your clients in the DMs?!

Keeping up with DMs can be overwhelming & frustrating.

DMs used to drive me crazy, not because I didn’t want to connect but because it lacked organization.

It still lacks organization but there is a little feature that’s hidden in plain sight that helped me a lot!

It’s the filter button! Did you know you can filter your inbox to see only your unread or your flagged messages?

This will help you keep your inbox clear! & the flagged feature can help you keep track of your important client threads. No more scrolling and searching!

If you still feel overwhelmed by DMs, comments etc, let me do it. I’m here to make your life easier!
