Vashon Island! Today is the day! The Vashon High School Class of ‘26 will be rolling through town from noon-1 Saturday June 13 so we can celebrate graduation day in true Pirate style! This annual tradition started in 2020, and it’s so much fun!

Voice of Vashon will be broadcasting the parade live from JBBS studio in town. If you can’t make it to cheer in person, stream on YouTube and KVSH 101.9 FM.

On Vashon, these organizations feed families, support youth, protect land and water, strengthen arts and culture, respond in crisis, and hold this island together every single day. GiveBIG exists to spotlight their missions, amplify their impact, and remind us how much community support makes possible. Voice of Vashon — our community’s island connection — is proud to help elevate these stories. HIRING IMMEDIATE NEED It has recently come to my attention that I cannot do all the things so …..Desperately Seeking ( & if you don’t get that reference 😂❤️ don’t apply right now) . hybrid, personal / professional assistant.You would be able to start work tomorrow morning at 8:30 -11 & have a phone call tonight? Guesstimating STARTING wage $15? ish an hour this week while I get ready for my family celebration, my elderly mother and the launch of Vashon Highland Games. Hoping for some combination of understands basic accounting and is willing to enter it into spreadsheets eventually. Shoot content on island. Track receipts even if I just text you a picture of it, is not unwilling to help me occasionally plant flowers at my house or take my mom for a walk around the block or combinations of all the things. No background check currently required, but may be in future. An NDA will need to be signed for both our protection in the face of the fu***ng IRS. Thank you.

ALSO person who can understand fast speakers would be amazing. You would be working a bit out of a house filled with pets. Running errands - getting things printed somehow. can figure out graphic design projects & do them when asked. literally like how to format s**t I have no time to learn it again. able to stand next to me while what might sound like is barking out orders. From Boston so… 😂☘️ be willing to stand around where people are smoking, ma*****na, and to***co occasionally. you can be sober and I salute you but also able to hang out at bars because lots of this work gets done there. Keeping up with me is difficult. physically – I walk fast. Some of our meetings might be in the forest and we’ll have to get there quickly, able to lift I don’t know 75 pounds safely. connect cords to things because I am not awesome at spatial relationships.
