At AHRMM26 in San Antonio a few weeks ago, Virtua Health leaders Ana Victoria Sanchez, Heather Pierce, and Katie McShane took the stage with our COO, Lana Makhanik, to share their journey to achieve clinician-centric and clinician-driven perioperative supply chain automation and optimization.

📽️ In this video clip, you’ll hear them describe where they started this process – with clinicians heavily involved in inventory management (placing orders, negotiating consignment contracts, etc.), items being overstocked and hoarded, and expired items wasting money.

You’ll hear about the beginning of a close-knit collaboration between supply chain and clinicians, and how supply chain stood right by clinician’s side to make sure any changes they made went hand-in-hand with the clinical workflow.
