We realize that the various clinical documentation and inventory management systems out there may at first glance seem quite similar. The truth is that they are not created equal. The reality is that many companies on the market today make a lot of elaborate promises using a lot of fancy language, and then fall short when actually put to the test. We stand by our products because we know they work. Our solutions offer benefits and features that stand shoulders above the competition. Our priorities are simple - data integrity, robust methodologies, flawless processes, a superlative user experience, and the best customer support in the industry.

📽️ In this second clip from their presentation at the WSHMMA conference in Tacoma, MultiCare Health System’s Supply Chain leaders, Alex VandenBroek and Al Templin, shared the thrill of using the VueStat™ system to blink an Electronic Shelf Label from 50 miles away.

Have you ever had the frustrating and overwhelming experience of not being able to find an item in a crowded supply room when it’s urgently needed for a procedure?

In this example, Alex tells the story of how, on a Saturday night, she was able to be there for the clinician by remote flashing the ESL on the catheter bin in their supply room...from Alex's office in another town.

🌟 Supply Chain - Clinical teamwork in the service of better patient care 🌟

At the WSHMMA 2026 Annual Conference in Tacoma, WA on August 21, MultiCare Health System supply chain leaders, Alex VandenBroek and Al Templin, shared how VueStat™ Electronic Shelf Labels are transforming their hospital inventory management through automation that ensures item availability.

How do ESLs automate PAR replenishment?

📽️ In this clip, you’ll see how VueStat automates PAR replenishment across MultiCare’s non-acute and geographically dispersed sites. And you’ll see just how simple it can be. A staff member walks into the supply room, sees an item is getting low, presses the reorder button on the shelf label, and knows the rest is being taken care of.

VueStat also gives clinicians immediate visibility when an item is on backorder, helping eliminate uncertainty and reinforcing that Supply Chain is already working to get them what they need.

That kind of real-time communication doesn’t just automate reordering. It builds trust between clinical and supply chain teams.

At AHRMM26 in San Antonio a few weeks ago, Virtua Health leaders Ana Victoria Sanchez, Heather Pierce, and Katie McShane took the stage with our COO, Lana Makhanik, to share their journey to achieve clinician-centric and clinician-driven perioperative supply chain automation and optimization.

📽️ In this video clip, you’ll hear them describe where they started this process – with clinicians heavily involved in inventory management (placing orders, negotiating consignment contracts, etc.), items being overstocked and hoarded, and expired items wasting money.

You’ll hear about the beginning of a close-knit collaboration between supply chain and clinicians, and how supply chain stood right by clinician’s side to make sure any changes they made went hand-in-hand with the clinical workflow.

🎤 If you missed us at the national AHRMM26 conference and are in the Philadelphia area, we will be co-presenting this topic again at the SEPAC conference on October 2nd. https://lnkd.in/ehagcVM8

A hospital can deliver excellent clinical care and still lose money, or even put a patient at risk, because the right implant wasn’t on the shelf or an expired item slipped into a procedure.

Medical supplies and implants represent one of a health system’s highest costs, yet for years they were managed by inadequate spreadsheets and tribal knowledge.

This guide covers what healthcare supply chain software is, the main types, the features that matter, what it costs, and how to choose the right platform.

🏥 Hospitals lose time and money on inventory blind spots. Sound familiar?

- No real-time visibility into inventory levels and item status?
- Unsure what's on-order, back-ordered, out-of-stock, recalled, or expiring?
- Staff hunting for supplies across multiple storage locations?
- Expired or recalled products still sitting on the shelf?
- Manual counts pulling clinical staff away from patient care?

🎤 In this clip from the Power Supply Vendor Spotlight podcast, Lana Makhanik, VueMed's COO, talks about the common inventory management pain points that hospitals face every day.

💬 Want to explore how VueStat, our Electronic Shelf Label technology, can solve all of these problems and more? Contact us at https://vuemed.com/request-a-demo/

Most hospital supply waste isn't dramatic. It's quiet.

It looks like an unopened item that got charged to a case anyway. A specialty product that expired before anyone flagged it. A par level that gradually doubled because shortages felt like a bigger risk than overstock. An order placed out of habit rather than need.

This isn't a people problem — it's a visibility problem.

When teams can see what's happening at the individual item level, waste becomes manageable. You can catch expiring products before they're lost. You can right-size inventory instead of guessing. You can move from reactive ordering to proactive supply management.

VueTrack™ gives supply chain and clinical teams exactly that visibility — so hospitals can reduce waste, prevent avoidable loss, and build replenishment practices based on data, not instinct.

If your team is flying blind on high-cost supply areas, that's the first problem worth solving.

Hospital inventory waste reduction starts with an uncomfortable reality: in high-cost procedural areas, supply waste is not always easy to spot. A product may be opened for a case but never used. A specialty item may expire because no one saw the risk early enough. Par levels may creep up…
